Struttin Lika Zippo
I was out teasing mares with Struttin Lika Zippo last night, and thought I’d share a short clip of him as we spent some time together.
➡️ This is why he has a World Champion in Dressage!
I wanted to showcase how uphill he is. And, all though it’s very short, the clip loping was me trying to capture him loping around me, as I WALKED next to him. He can virtually lope in place!! He is super deep behind, and just flows beautifully. Look at how that top line doesn’t move!
🔄 He crosses AMAZING on Barpasser and Invitation Only mares!!!
Thrush Treatment
Sharing a quick video I made doing a thrush treatment with Artimud (clay) and Hoof Stuff (fibrous packing clay made by the same company). I do this treatment a couple times a week, if a horse has active thrush, and then use No Thrush powder daily in between days I’ve used the clays - until the thrush has cleared.

💡Clipping Tip💡
➡️ Here is a clipping tip when you’re working to get the last bit of “fuzz” layer on a horse that’s been shedding (NOTE: this won’t work well if your horse is still “winter woolie” - you’ll want to completely body clip them, if needing to have them slicked out quicker than they can shed).
➡️ Flip your clippers over, going with the growth of the hair, and hold your clippers at a slight angle. Work on keeping the pressure even, and keep your strokes with the clippers on the body smooth.
👏 Let’s give a round of applause for this yearling filly, with her first time ever having clippers around her!

- I’m always asked for video on the line for the stallions - so here he is - Sexy N My Carharts- at 13 years old, unfit and put to work for the first time since November 2023!! He’s been enjoying his daily turnouts, but he REALLY LOVES having a job and getting back to work.
Skip is such a natural talent, with great balance and cadence. His foals are super in All Around Events!
