Cesar Chavez told me at Rio Grande High School, Wil Ortiz, a month before he died, shook my hand he said we must grow from kids to become leaders because our Latino and Minority people will be in charge and we must show Caucasians that we and everyone will be ok with minorities in charge as we become the majority!

A temporary new traffic change will go into effect Monday, Oct. 28 in the Bridge Boulevard reconstruction project area.

Westbound traffic on Bridge Boulevard wanting to turn south onto La Vega will instead be detoured to Isleta and then to Hardy Avenue. The closure will be in place until the late afternoon of Oct. 30, allowing for roadway surfacing and paving at the intersection.
