We hate to ask, but we can still use some help. We are a little short for our Saturday, August 31st AM ELT-S trial in Dunkirk, NY. Competitors entered in ELT-S range from the L3 level to Summit. You will have the opportunity to watch some high level competitors AND help your local Nose Work community out. We will supply lunch, give you a gift and you have the option of winning a Volunteer Raffle Basket ;-) Please fill out the volunteer form if you can help. Thanks!
Why are Coaching Days so awesome? Because you get to work on something YOU need to work on PLUS you get to work on all of the things everyone else signed up needs to work on ;-) You may discover exercises you never tried before and you will learn so much about your team's strengths and weaknesses.
Our next Coaching Day is with Sarah Woodruff on Saturday, September 28th. There are morning and afternoon sessions and working spots can audit the other half of the day. Register now before all of the spots are gone!

The NACSW Education Division's Instructor Certification Program was developed to ensure a standard and quality of instruction that adhered to the founders’ original concepts of training that relied on dogs’ instinctual independent hunting and puzzle solving skills. Today there are instructors in...
HUGE thank you to Mel’s K-9 for letting us play today! The indoor search was challenging with all the treat and toy distractions, but these teams were impressive and stayed (mostly) focused. Keep an eye on the schedule - we will definitely be back!

Playing Nose Work in this type of environment gives me heart palpitations, but the demo dogs did great! Thanks for coming out today!! #dooverdogtraining #clydesfeeds #dockdogs #sniffinbythepool #whatdistractions
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Odor Recognition Test on Friday! We had eight students entered in the ORT and they earned eight shiny new ORT titles!!! Woo hoo!! We're so proud of all of you!! Big thanks to Supernova Dogs for letting us have it at your place, to Sarah Woodruff for driving all the way in from Eastern PA to CO for us, to our judge Anne Coughlin and all of our volunteers. Videos are now available for order for the ORT. You can choose to get all 3 odors together in one video or have them separate. Order form can be found on the website and in the comments. Thanks you to Melissa & Dawson for letting us use your runs for the sample videos. Great job!! #dooverdogtraining #dodtsupersniffersrock #nacsw #ort #thankyou
The Amherst, NY NW3/ELT trial videos are now available for purchase. Order form and sample videos can be found on the website and also in the comments for this post. We have videos for all searches and all dogs...except one view of the basketball court for a little bit when the camera fell :-( Check out the Peanut doing her thing in the NW3 Int#1 search :-)
Look at Angel go! Angel has some spinal issues, but when it's Nose Work time - she runs to come to class! And now she has an NW1 title! Angel is our "model" for the NW1 sample videos from the Delevan trial. If you'd like to purchase your videos to save wonderful memories like Angel's or if you want to learn from your mistakes if something went wrong - this is the time. Videos will be available until June 15th. All info is on our website on the Trials page or check the comments for links.
Why is watching your training and trialing videos soooooo important??? Because you can see things in a video that you may not see in the moment. Because you can look at several videos and pick up on something you or your dog is doing - whether it's a good thing or something you need to work on or something you just need to watch for. Here's a quick video of Team Pebbles' vehicle search. It might seem like Pebbles is sniffing the ground or is distracted by the grass...but I think she's getting information and using the environment to her advantage. Look how beautifully she sources that hide on her own. So pretty!! The videos from the Delevan trial are now available for purchase. You can find all of the information on our Trials page or check the links in the comments. If you're not sure what you're looking for, send your video in for a review through Scent Work University and get another set of eyes on you. Link will also be in the comments.
Are you ready for NW2/NW3 distractors??? Test your training by attending one of our NW2 Container Sniff Thrus!! This is what we had out tonight. How would you have done?

Everyone should go check out the production of Go, Dog. Go! which will be up the next 2 weekends 😊
