Important message! There is a very contagious and dangerous respiratory illness going around. NY state is not considered a hot spot, but neighboring states are. Symptoms include coughing, sneezing, nasal or eye discharge and lethargy. Some cases of the illness progress quickly, making dogs VERY sick within 24 to 36 hours. If your dog exhibits any of these symptoms, seek veterinary care and please do not bring them in for grooming. It's probably a good idea to limit interactions with other dogs if you're able to do so. Those with puppies and elderly dogs should be extra careful.

I thoroughly disinfect all surfaces and tools between dogs but this is thought to be airborne. Please be vigilant and stay healthy!

Summer is just about here and the shop is busier than ever. Please be on time for your dog's appointments. If you're late by 10 minutes or more, your appointment will be rescheduled and a fee of $25 will be charged. There will also be a $25 charge (per dog) for cancelations with less than 24 hours notice and for no shows. Thank you for your continued patronage and for your understanding.

Nestle came in yesterday for her first groom with me. I can't stress enough the importance of acclimating your puppy to grooming. Nestle learned how to go up the ramp into the tub, got a bath, walked down the tub ramp and onto the table, learned what a blow dryer was amd most importantly, made friends with me! She will get a full haircut at some point but to do that all in one day is just too much for a first groom.
The dogs that have come to me since puppy hood are happy to come see me and enjoy their time at the spa. I still have a full clientele but no matter who your groomer is, do them and your dog a favor and get that puppy groomed!
