My Lady Banks rose is bursting, first glimpse of CA Poppies and Larkspur!

Loved the tulips and daffodils, but they're just about done.

The Uvalde city council & school board passed unanimous resolutions last week, which amounted to one thing.
The ONLY request:

Raise the minimum age to buy a semi-automatic weapon to 21.

Abbott has yet to answer. Today we are asking everyone to put pressure on abbot to call a special session to make this request happen.

There are many things we can ask for in that others will find unreasonable - this SINGLE request is not one of them.

We've finished a section of our fence/climbing trellis in the backyard, gates and all. My favorite thing about diy projects is how wonky it can get because (it may be obvious) we're not professionals. At the end of the day, it does the job, it looks good, and we freaking did it. And the wonkiness, well, it adds character.

I'm always going to wonder when, how and why "poison our home" became such the way of life that we can't seem to wrap our heads around what a bad idea this is. Just. Stop.

Look into dandelions - they're a beautiful, many-use plant that are THE saving grace for bees this early in the season. Step away from the round-up - it's time for a change.

Our first show stoppers of the year!

The quince are so close to blooming- I can't wait to show you that!

We seeded poppies, calendula, carrots and dill yesterday, keep your fingers crossed that the results will be glorious - six types of heirloom poppies should blow us away! Looking forward to spring! @ Barking Pony Farm

I love this. The components she used were from a gathering expedition with her mother that they filmed, a little silly and sweet, where they just took their snippers and found branches whatnot that caught their eye out in the mountains. I'm curious what an expedition around here would look like.
