Happy Mardi Gras!! We won’t be in any parades, because nobody wants to catch our throws. But we have a ball EVERY day at Magnolia Spay Neuter, and your pets are invited! FAUNA - Friends All United for Natchitoches Animals is having us back to NATCHITOCHES on 3/20 and have lots of space left for male cats and male dogs. We will be in Leesville on 5/8 and we will be in Jena on 5/15! These events are only open to residents of Vernon Parish and La Salle Parish respectively.

There is a $25 NON REFUNDABLE deposit for each pet due at scheduling. The deposit is applied to your total bill. We are unable to accommodate dogs over 70lbs or pets 7 years of age and older at our mobile events. All pets must come with a crate or carrier.

CITY OF ALEXANDRIA OPENS WARMING STATION
Alexandria, Louisiana – In response to continuing cold weather forecasted for the upcoming weekend, the City of Alexandria is adding flexibility to its normal temperature triggers and opening a Warming Station at the Bolton Avenue Community Center, located at 315 Bolton Avenue. The City is coordinating with other agencies to monitor additional needs.

The warming station will provide a refuge for locals in need and will be operational from 2 PM on Thursday, January 9, 2025, until Monday, January 13, 2025, coinciding with the expected rise in temperatures.

Equipped with cots and Meals Ready-to-Eat (MREs), the facility aims to offer a safe space for individuals seeking shelter from the harsh weather conditions.

It is important to note that the Warming Station is not equipped to accommodate individuals with special medical needs. Visitors to the facility are required to be ambulatory and able to care for themselves.

Magnolia Spay Neuter is FIVE years old!! Which means Mr. Testicle is four!! And I may or may not have immortalized his existence with a commemorative tattoo (pic in comments). When you love something, love it hard! 😂💃🏻

In our 5 years we have sterilized 28,585 animals!! I’m really good at spaying and neutering, and not great at statistics, so let’s just say we have prevented about one million animals from flooding the streets of Cenla. We have basically prevented a petpocalypse; I’m sure our medal is in the mail.

Happy New Year!!

We had an AMAZING 2024 and broke our previous year-end record by 921 patients! It was a HUGE year for the community cat population as well; we sterilized 1788 feral cats this year (up from 813 in 2023).

Thank you, Cenla, for continuing to support our small business as we work to make a BIG impact on our local pet population. We love what we do and we look forward to more puppy kisses and kitty scritches in 2025!

We are emerging from this holiday break feeling like a solid 8! How YOU doing?!

We will be packing up the clinic and heading to Elizabeth on 3/13 and Natchitoches on 3/20! These events are only open to residents of those parishes and the immediately surrounding areas. Happy Holidays!!

Our office will be closed the entire week of Christmas and will only be open on 12/30 and 1/2 the following week. We had a long year of decking the balls and we are looking forward to decking the halls!
