Happy Halloween from our Spooky friend Zig! πŸŽƒ

Zig is available for adoption through one of our local resuces King Street Cats! We had the pleasure of providing the veterinary care for Zig and he was just an absolute sweetheart while he was here with us.

To foster, adopt, or volunteer with KSC, visit www.kingstreetcats.org for more information and to apply.

Members of our staff had the opportunity to participate in Edison High Schools Academy Career Fair this week! They spent the day speaking with students about the veterinary field and the ins and outs of what their typical day looks like. This is one fun way we are able to give back to our community! Huge thank you to our staff members Amber, Christina, Meaghan, and Dr. Watson for representing Hayfield! 🩡🐾

The Dogs of Otavalo

A portion of our team will spend time in outlying communities doing health checks, deworming and providing vaccination for the pets that need it the most – while our surgeons will be working at the hospital spaying/neutering and vaccinating a goal of 300 dogs and cats.

Our furry friends need and love enrichment activities! Sometimes it can be difficult to think of different ideas to do with them without having to spend a fortune. Check out the links below from ASPCA for different low-cost activities to do with them! 🐾

The key to a happy and healthy dog is regular enrichment and allowing them to engage in their innate behaviors, such as playing, chasing, smelling, chewing and scavenging. By allowing your dog to engage in these behaviors, you allow them to be physically, emotionally and mentally satisfied.

Meet Apollo! 🐾 Apollo is a sweet, 1 year old baby that we met after he was involved in a sudden accident. He snuck out of the house and in the process was hit by a car. Apollo's family rushed him to our hospital where we were able to assess him. Upon examination we realized that Apollo required extensive veterinary care as well as surgery to repair a broken hip. Due to the sudden nature of the accident and the financial commitments, Apollo's family was in a tough spot.

We knew we wanted to help Apollo and his family get the care he needed. With the help of our local community and our Teddy Fund, we were able to get Apollo ALL of the veterinary services he required.

The surgery allowed him to put weight on that back leg again and bring his quality of life back to what it had been prior to the accident. His mom and dad report that he is doing wonderful and back to his happy, playful self. We are grateful for the support and contributions from our community so that we can have success stories like this 🩡

Our Story

We are pleased to have you as part of our animal health care team. Together with our expert veterinarians, licensed veterinary technicians, and veterinary assistants you will be provided the best in modern health care for your companion animals. We value the trust you've placed in us. We pledge to treat all of our patients as if they were members of our own families.

We also have two sister hospitals that we work with β€” Crosspointe Animal Hospital and Fort Hunt Animal Hospital. Both sites have lots of licensed techs ready to help your pet.

We are constantly looking for ways to improve our service and exceed our patients' and clients' expectations. Please fill out a survey or review us on Yelp, Google, Yahoo, etc. to let us know how we're doing, what you like, what you don't like, and what you'd like to see in the future. Thanks for your input!
