My boyfriend and I have come to Tennessee in the last year and have searched for a way to give back and a way to start a life here. Fortunately, we have recently crossed paths with one of the most kind hearted people, who happens to have started the first no kill shelter in the South many years ago, called Action for Animals. Since, the "Creature Comfort Farm " location and it's loving owner have
gone through some significant losses and horrifying accidents. Action for Animals still exists but struggles to function and support the many rescued animals and the land they frequently call home. My boyfriend and I have decided to join Action for Animals and it's single owner and operator, to revive the shelter to the beautiful and safe home it had once been for so many neglected and abused animals from across the country. That means, we will be moving to the farm to work and live as caretakers. Having suffered significant losses and debilitating accidents, the land and structures are in need of SIGNIFICANT repair to regain usage and livability. We are "all in" when it comes to learning how to and conducting all of the physical repairs, but Action for Animals no longer has a sufficient budget due to losses and absence of current donations to afford the materials for the work that needs to be done. If you are able and willing, please feel free to make a donation of any amount to Action for Animals and help support our effort in changing the lives of the farm's current and future rescues and continue the life work of the organization's sole owner and operator since starting the South's first no kill shelter! Action for Animals is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.
