Protect Your Peace and Keep Rising
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “The ultimate measure of a (wo)man is not where he stands in moments of convenience and comfort, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”
As Black women, we have always stood tall in the face of adversity. 92% of us voted to protect the health, well-being, and rights of this nation—showing the world the power of our voice and our commitment to justice.
Today, many of us may feel some type of way, but let’s honor the life and legacy of the work Dr. King began. We clearly have more serious work to do.
But that work doesn't need to happen today. Protect your peace.
Rest Sis.
Protecting your peace is as essential as the work we do for progress. It’s what fuels us to rise above disappointment and meet every challenge with resilience.
Take this day to reflect, refocus, and recommit. Care for yourself as deeply as you care for the causes you champion.
Together, we embody the legacy of progress, justice, and hope that our ancestors entrusted to us.
