He spreads love all over.
Such a purry, affectionate guy. When I'm unlocking the door, I hear him meowing with anticipation on the other side, so eager for our snuggles and fun. It's like newly dating someone and I can't wait to see him tomorrow. 😍

I Jumped rock to rock with a goat friend, delivered hay and felt like Santa.....
Everybody loves you when you have a rattly bucket of grain to share!
The ducks delighted in a new bucket of water to muddy up after their feast.
Such adorable, loveable creatures to tuck in on this little Maine Dairy farm.

We toured the trails down to the lake together and that was magnificent!
When we got back to his home turf, he delighted in the scents on the breeze and had some curious thoughts about raucous crows at the edge of the field.❤️

In today's episode of 'Explore every nook and cranny of the woods with Lexi.'......
There were logs and rocks to climb, skitterings and rustlings in scattered leaves to wonder about and flowing water to criss cross.
We eschewed sensibility and instead of leaving the path we came in on, we followed the stream back, just to see where it went. Neither of us were disappointed.

To all dog clients:
Please let me know if your dog(s) have shown any signs of coughing or respiratory symptoms or if your dog has been exposed to other dogs, say at a dog park or kennel. I'm taking extra precautions to keep everyone's beloveds safe and healthy with this canine virus roaming around. I always sanitize between clients and farms. I'll also be using a clothes sanitizing spray on my boots and clothing between every visit, too.
I want all my woof friends happy and healthy!

It was dark ish......we explored the stream bed and all it's curiosities at dusk, then fumbled our way back through shadows to warm dinner and tuck in.

It's been a few minutes since Megan has been able to get out and explore after surgery on her paw.
Today, we had a proper survey of the grounds with much ado about sniffing every bit of information from the landscape she had been rested from during her recovery. She read deeply into every spot and devoured all the news. There were deer tracks, turkey scratchings, and other intriguing unidentifiable ( to me) delights in the fields and woods and she was overjoyed with the abundance of senses. ❤️

I get the best greetings from these two. It starts as soon as I pull into the driveway. Happy, bouncy faces appear in the window... "hello! We're here! Come in, come in!!"
I am met at the door with Penny wiggling furiously, and Piper brandishing her stuffie du jour, wagging wildly. Their exuberant joy is infectious and it's impossible to not get swept up in it every time.
Then, off we go for some good fun!

I was approached by farm security.
He unzipped my coat pocket and
seemed disappointed to only find a well worn pair of fingerless gloves that may have smelled like cracked corn.
Once cleared of snack hoarding, he sent me on my way.

This amazing soul lifts my spirit ever higher.
She always has a smile, even with a bandaged foot and a cone on her head, she still smiles because life is beautiful.
I am inspired to be more like Megan. ❤️

Right out the door, Bella smelled something she needed to follow, so off we went, down a snowmobile trail, following whatever magical scent she was after. We went along, her nose twitching and sniffing through the woods.
On our way back a dog came through the woodline, chasing and barking after us. I didn't even look, just scooped Bella up, shoulder height, her paws skyward and hoofed it quickly toward home. The dog did not pursue, thank the heavens, and we headed home for an incredible sunset kibble dinner.

Ok, wait for me....

I thought I'd lay in the frosty field and get a picture of these grazing, Icelandic Wethers. I thought oooh, the texture of the icy grass leading up to these beautiful boys with that dreamy sun lazing in the clouds behind them..... The moment I hit the grass, the whole flocked started charging toward me. My reflexes may not be cat-like, but they got me off the ground before the stampede.

Apparently, I wasn't serving breakfast quickly enough. Haha 😂 "I'll just grab a taste!"

We started our morning with sharpening our paw/eye coordination. ~Morning games with Fuzzball ❤️

Everyone should be more like Penny..... Just sitting and being happy.

Along the path up a hill, hungry pigs serenaded me with twilight songs about their love of grain for dinner. 🖤

My new friends Bella and Margo. ❤️ Bella thinks barking will get me to hand over the bacon flavored snacks, while Margo applies her super-power of incredible cuteness+knee bounces. They both won!

I told them we could go inside, but we needed to get some physical activity. Chasing down tiny treats was just the thing!

Lexi and I went gently into the woods a little. She has a tender knee, so we were cautious. We came upon this fallen tree that she always loves to hop up onto. I could tell as we approached that she wanted up. I lifted her and she took in the rushing water and a calling cat bird. ~Lexi

To get her more exercise without my having to run with her, I decided to lunge her like a horse. We got a good rhythm of circles going and that was just what she needed!
