We went down memory lane, laughed about the time we got chased by a neighbor's dog in knee deep snow as I became Hercules, hoisting her, high as I could hold her as we ran. Turned out fine. The chasing dog's person ran out in a flapping camo bathrobe and big boots, she called him home. Bella and I have a lot of Stories from our years of friendship, but that one really makes us laugh.
Especially when we imagine the scene of us, shifting through snow, her on my shoulder, thwarting a dog who was all bark and bluster. It was a dance we wish we had on video. 🤣

Had my very first back on the job, dog date with this adorable nugget. She showed me some of the pretty places I've been missing this summer, then we settled on a blanket for snuggles and fun. I put a few of her kibbles around the blanket and watched her track them down. Most dogs love having to use their senses and work to find a reward. Bella loved 'find the treat'. ❤️

The coffee is delicious and small-batch roasted right here in Maine. ❤️ I absolutely love this coffee! Bad Dog is my favorite. Hellllllloooooooo everyone!!! Im back from a summer hiatus/knee replacement surgery. Ive healed well and can't wait to resume adventuring with all my animal friends! ❤️ Ive missed them all so much!! I will be ready for creature dates again around 2nd week of September and beyond. Hope you've all had a happy and healthy Summer! 😃

It was mystery night at our house....
"Where's Aurora"?
Not in the coop.
Not in the yard.
We made our 'fresh snacks' call into brushy shadows. Nothing.
I feared the worst. She's always been a bit of a renegade duck, setting her own parameters, wandering about.

He ran up, feathers afluff.
Made a fuss of indignant clucks as I ducked behind a tree, avoiding his confrontation.
We had a standoff until I walked away and he crowed to the whole neighborhood.
We'll call it a draw. 😂
