I never set out to be an imposter.
I get compliments all the time on how beautiful or cute or well behaved 'my' dogs/animals are while Im out walking your dogs or tending your farms. In the beginning, I used to feel like I don't want to be deceptive here and pretend all these lovely animals are my own, yet I also don't owe any explanation to anyone. So I always say an enthusiastic "Thank you!" and maybe a "They're so much fun!"
Same goes for delivery people handing me your packages and mail while I stand on your porch. (In my head I want to say, oh wait, this isn't my house....) I just give a big smile, say thanks, give a wave. Its nobody's business to know 'The owners arent here, Im just'...... No. I thank them when they compliment 'my home' or 'my garden' or 'my animals'. Ive gotten more than a few side eyes when a delivery driver I saw an hour prior somewhere else, comes up the drive of a different home and there I am coming out the front door, gathering deliveries while holding a different dog, commanding the place like its mine. People must wonder, is that the same woman I just saw... or does she have a twin? Imposter me has properties ALL over the place with LOTS of animals. So if you ever hear me speaking with someone in your driveway like I own the pleace... for those few minutes, I do.
Its recently occurred to me, this double life I lead and I love it.

My husband had the day off until I got ahold of him. 🤣
I was feeling orthopedicallly challenged yesterday, so over coffee, I pitched the idea of him joining my morning to help me and we could have a mini work date a- la doggo. I promised no mucky fields, fence climbing or sloshy water buckets and off we went. He's the best. 😍 I loved seeing him love up my loves I get to love every day.
