This week is National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week! Even though our cats and dogs are the most beloved animals, pet homelessness is a huge deal in the US. Roughly 8 million of 70 million homeless pets end up in shelters. Did you know there is roughly 3,500 shelters in the country? Thankfully we have a local animal rescue that helps with taking in these beloved pets and giving them a second chance. Kossuth County Tails of Hope Rescue has had a record number of adoptions this year! Be sure to check out their page for updates on the cats and kittens that are up for adoption! If you’d like to make donations they have drop off stations such as the clinic. They also hold several fundraising events!

🎃👻Honorable Halloween mention, Mr Tucker John as the cutest little shopping cart. Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to Tucker recently, but before his crossing to rainbow bridge he had found a new need for speed with his wheels! You were the cutest shopping cart and will be greatly missed!🎃👻
