Saffron is adopted! This family fell in love with him the moment they met him at Pet Kingdom. Many know Saffron for his calm, relaxed, cuddly demeanor, for his bright, bold gold eyes, and for being a muscle heavyweight cat champion weighing in at 18 lbs. This family truly loves everything about him and his grandness! The girls are treating him like a king and brushed him as soon as they all got home. Saffron felt at home right away which is huge for a cat. This family will give him all the pets and attention he was dreaming of. We had such a fun time getting to know the family. Thank you for giving Saffron the best home and the best life. ❤️🐾

For this week’s Kitty Catwalk, we are taking a look into the toy box at Toy Story’s missing character, John! John is a solid orange tabby cat with the cutest face around. He is a shy cat who melts like butter when being pet. John has his brave moments when he trusts someone and wants some love and affection. He’s been at the shelter since he was a kitten and is now 5 years old. John is a quiet and polite cat who almost never meows. He loves his wet food, which is one of the only times he speaks. John, named after the singer John Lennon, acts like a sweet little rag doll when being pet, earning him a spot as an honorary Toy Story character. As a reminder, Kitty Catwalk highlights our adoptable cats who’s adoption fees have already been paid. If you would like to meet rag doll John, send us a message and we can set up a time!

If you have an orange female kitty, comment a picture below of you would like too. We would love to see them. It’s only about a 20% chance that an orange tabby is female. They are male 80% of the time. Pretty interesting. Another person wanted to see our female orange tabbies, here is a video. 🧡🧡 This is Sweden and Greece.

Thank you volunteers for joining the room cleanings managing app. The President of the Board mentioned how this will help us prove hours worked when applying for grants. It would be amazing to get even one small grant at some point! Grants will never spend time with the kitties or clean the rooms but if we could give you all a break from our asks that would be a gift. It does also help when conversing with the inspector and insurance people. We want to get the rescue in great lighting status. We are working our butts off to get there. Let us know any questions here or in the app as you go! And if you are a volunteer not yet in the app or a someone wanting to volunteer, message in!

Hi all! Volunteers have been sent an invite either through email or text for our new room cleaning job managing app. If for some reason you do not see your email or text, please message in and we will make sure to get you in! We are trying to start with Sept. This will help us in a lot of ways and we are looking for our gaps where we need volunteers. Or know when we need to cover. And when you have something come up and can't make your room cleaning you can easily notify us in it so we can get it covered--we know life happens. Also, you can message admins questions when you are on the job through the chat feature. People do get surprised when we find out all work is done by volunteers. Thank you guys for keeping this rescue going. It can't exist without you. And we are looking for a Tuesday front lobby and a Thursday front lobby volunteer if anyone reading this is interested or if you know someone that might be interested. 🥰

Your incredible community support brought in an amazing $3,027 at the garage sale event for the rescue kitties. We humbly thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We wish there was a way to thank you at the level you give to us. We have never made this much at an event. We promise to continue to working very hard caring for these kitties and placing them in loving homes.

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s this week’s appearance on Kitty Catwalk! It’s Tails of Hope’s very own cat superhero, Ryder! He is a five year three month old black cat. Ryder can often be found lurking in the shadows or sat atop of a nearby tower surveying over the land. He was born with the rarest eyes, green with a bit of hazel and pupils surrounded by rings of blue, and a look that intimidates any wayward villain. However, under his “dark knight” persona, Ryder is a total sweetheart. While atop his stakeout cat towers, he grabs the shoulders of passing civilians demanding pets immediately. Behind his superhero aura is an innocent and curious cat who would do well in a home with other kind hearted cats. Kitty Catwalk showcases the adoptable cats that have had their adoption fees covered by a kind hearted donor.
