🐾 Fun Fact Friday! 🐾

Ever wonder why dogs chase their tails? 🤔 Turns out, there are a few reasons why our furry friends spin in circles!

1️⃣ Playtime! Sometimes, chasing their tail is just a fun game for dogs—especially puppies who are still figuring out their bodies. 🐶

2️⃣ Self-Entertainment! Dogs may chase their tails when they're feeling bored or need some stimulation, especially if they're home alone.

3️⃣ Attention-Seeking! If your pup notices that you laugh or react when they chase their tail, they might do it to get a little extra attention. 🐾

4️⃣ Stress or Anxiety! In some cases, tail chasing can be a sign of stress, frustration, or even a compulsive behavior. If your dog does this a lot, it might be worth chatting with a vet.

Next time your dog starts spinning, remember—it's not just for fun! 🌀 What’s the quirkiest thing your dog does? Share with us in the comments! 🐕💬

Fun Fact Friday: Why Do Cats Knead? 🐾

Have you ever noticed your cat kneading with their paws like they're "making bread"? 🍞 It turns out this adorable behavior has a few reasons behind it!

Kittens knead their mother's belly to stimulate milk production, and as adult cats, they may knead to express comfort, happiness, and affection. It’s like a soothing ritual that reminds them of their kittenhood! 🐱💖

So next time your furry friend starts kneading your lap, just know they’re showing some love and feeling at home! 😻

🌸🐾 Spring Pet Safety Tips from Center Animal Clinic! 🐾🌸

Spring is here, and while it's a beautiful time for outdoor adventures, it's important to keep our furry friends safe! 🐶🐱 Here are some spring pet safety tips to keep in mind:

1️⃣ Watch Out for Allergies: Just like us, pets can suffer from seasonal allergies. Be mindful of pollen and keep your pet’s eyes and skin clean to avoid irritation.

2️⃣ Check for Ticks & Fleas: As the weather warms up, ticks and fleas become more active. Make sure your pet is up to date on their flea and tick prevention.

3️⃣ Stay Hydrated: With warmer weather, it’s essential for your pet to stay hydrated! Keep fresh water available during walks and playtime.

4️⃣ Protect Against Poisons: Keep harmful plants, like lilies and tulips, away from your pets. If your pet likes to explore, be mindful of dangerous chemicals in your garden.

5️⃣ Take it Easy in the Heat: Avoid too much outdoor activity during the hottest parts of the day. Remember, paws can burn on hot pavement!

🐾 At Center Animal Clinic, we care about your pet’s health and safety this spring. If you need advice or want to schedule a check-up, call us at 724-375-7206. We're here to help!

🌷 Have a safe and fun spring with your furry companions! 🌷

🐾 March is Pet Poison Prevention Awareness Month! 🐾

Our furry friends are curious by nature, and sometimes that curiosity leads them to things they shouldn’t eat! 🍫🚫 Keep your pets safe with these quick tips:

🐶 Lock up toxic foods – Chocolate, grapes, onions, and xylitol (found in sugar-free gum) can be dangerous!
🐱 Store meds securely – Even small doses of human medicine can be harmful to pets.
🌿 Watch those plants – Lilies, aloe, and poinsettias can be toxic to cats and dogs.
🧼 Keep cleaning supplies out of reach – Some household cleaners smell interesting to pets but can be dangerous if ingested.
🚨 Know the signs of poisoning – Vomiting, drooling, tremors, or lethargy? Call your vet ASAP!

Keep your four-legged besties safe this March (and all year round!) 🐾💙 If you ever suspect poisoning, call us or the ASPCA Poison Control Hotline (888-426-4435) immediately!
