We're back at the Beaver County Humane Society today until 4pm. We hope to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones too 😁

12:15pm update: It looks like the rain isn't going to play nice today. We're packing up and will be back tomorrow to try again.

Skies may be a bit gray but the cat trees have arrived at the Beaver County Humane Society. We're here until 7pm and hoping many of our furry (and maybe not so furry) friends get adopted today.

Wow everyone, checkout what's happening at the Beaver County Humane Society next week!

We'll be there with our trees (weather permitting) Thursday, Friday, and Saturday!

FALL IN LOVE WITH YOUR NEW FUREVER FRIEND!

Thanks to an anonymous doner, all animals will be 100% free to approved adopters from September 24th to 28th. Those with approved pre-adoption applications will be prioritized. You can fill out a pre-adoption application online. https://beavercountyhumanesociety.org/pre-adoption-application/

All children under 10 must be present during the Meet & Greet. All owned dogs must be present for dog Meet & Greets. 24 Hour Holds will only be allotted for animals who must meet a dog or child.

Meet & Greets will be limited during our final business hour of each day.

Come for your new furever friend, stay for:
🐾 Activities for children.
🐾 Doggy Playgroup at 1:00pm (bring your own chair).
🐾 Training based kennel tours.

Cat Trees are Ready!!!!! It's going to be a beautiful day today at Brady's Run Park! Come on out for the Beaver County Humane Society Tails on the Trail Pet Walk from 11am to 3pm. Lots will be going on and good times will be had. Don't miss it!

You may be wondering why we decided to post a picture of three of our cats on a small tree and no cats on a big tree. So here's our answer....

1. We took the picture because we think our cats look cute.
2. It reminded us of conversations we have with people concerned that our perch boxes are small. We find that most cats like to feel some level of enclosure. Many cats also like to snuggle including the two at the top of this tree. This here is our tabby and one of our Bengals. I would deem them average size and they love to share our regular perch boxes. (As an important side note, we also find that this size perch box allows us to stick to our stance on stability and sturdiness.)
3. (This next point is specific to why we posted an empty large cat tree) Some conversations we have include people telling us that their cats do not use their cat trees. Not saying this is true for everyone but oftentimes as we dive deeper into the conversation, we find out that the cat tree is in a room not frequently visited such as a basement, guest room, dining room etc. This large cat tree in our picture is certainly loved and used as you can tell by the scratching on the post but it sat empty at this moment because there were no people in this room until we happened to walk by and took this picture. This large tree sits in our bedroom and the cats are up and down it all night long. The small tree sits in our home office where we were working at the time of the picture and the cats were enjoying their day nap.
4. That small tree from when we first started and has been used regularly for the past 8ish years. These are quality cat tree investments.

In summary, many cats enjoy a good cozy nap in your general proximity. 😁+😸=❤️
