Good afternoon to everyone in Facebook land. We have a couple changes to announce here at AAC.

Beginning August 5th we will be switching to Monday, rather than Thursday, which is currently the case, as being closed from noon-1pm for staff meetings and learning opportunities. Our doors will be locked and the phones will be put into voicemail service during that hour. We do realize that the noon hour is a convenient time for many of you to pick things up or to call us for scheduling and we will be available for you to continue to do so Tuesday-Friday.

Beginning October 1st Dr VanDenBrink will be available to see clients on Tuesdays. As with his normal schedule, he is in surgery and dentals for the morning and will be available to see appointments in the afternoon. He will not be in the office on Thursdays from that point on. Dr Mullins will be switching her surgery day to Thursday.

JJ has worked for AAC since she was 18! She works one Saturday a month and works full time for Charles River. We appreciate all you do when you are here 🥰

Fun fact-. She is very active in 4H and is the leader for Young Explorers cattle company. 🐄

Our little Hana 🫶🏻

She currently is a Pre vet student at MSU. You will see her at the clinic during summer and school breaks. She is just as goofy as she is smart ☺️

Fun fact- Her favorite thing at the clinic is all the new puppies that she gets to meet & help 🐾

This is our Stacey! 🫶🏻

Stacey is the longest standing employee of AAC! (other than Dr. VanDenBrink!) She started here with us September of 2001 😱

She has many skills and is mostly uses them behind the scenes. She assists Dr. VanDenBrink & Dr. Mullins in surgery daily! She is also very crafty and has her own craft business. 🧶

Fun fact- She loves helping putting “odd” things back together in surgery & helping with Chiropractic adjustments

Our sweet Kate Blank 🫶🏻

Kate is a graduate of MSU class of 2014 & came from the County Shelter where she was the behavioral assessor. She started at the Clinic July of 2021 and is Dr. Mullins’s personal assistant.

She just returned from Maternity leave and we’re oh so happy she’s back in office 😘 Her goofy attitude is needed daily to light up the hard times of Vet Med!

Fun fact - Kate loves the Diagnostic aspects of things, The Radiographs & Labwork. As she likes to say, “trying to solve the unsolvable!”

Here we have our Bridget Milhiem 🫶🏻

Bridget started at the clinic May of 2017 and has been with us ever since. She currently is only part time due to bettering herself & is in Nursing School 🩺⚕️
She can bounce between helping up front and in the back without hesitation. Thankful for all her hard work and dedication ❤️ (and cleaning skills 😆)

Fun fact - her favorite parts of working in Vet Med is patient care. She also loves loving on all the sweet & adorable 4 legged friends that walk through our threshold 🐾

Kassie is one of our newest assistants that had started back in December. She is currently going to school and working during breaks.

Kassie has been a great addition to our clinic family 💕

First up we have our longest standing Vet Assistant Kris Walker 🫶🏻

Kris volunteered with us in 2018 when she was a senior in High school. Then in 2019 became a permanent fixture to our Clinic. (Thankfully for us ☺️)
She can juggle many things and still have a smile on her face & ready to give the best service to our clients and Patients!

Fun fact- Kris’s favorite part of being a Vet Assistant is helping Patients in need and educating Clients on all odds and ends of Vet Med 💗

Good morning! We have some exciting news to share with you all very soon but before we can do that our staff needs a little training. So, our Clinical staff will be unavailable from noon-2pm today, Monday, July 15th. While our doors will remain open so you may pick up any prescriptions, food, or other supplies you may need, and our phones will remain on so our reception staff can still serve you, there will be no appointments seen between those hours and no veterinarians, technicians, or assistants available to serve you. We thank you all for your understanding and cant wait to share our super exciting news with you all.

Last but not least we would like to show our newst receptionist Emaleigh some appreciation. She has eagerly jumped into her first role as a Veterinary Receptionist and is learning duties in the front and the back of the house with ease. Her bright personality and compassion for animals and their owners is helping her to fit right in. We’re so happy to have Emaleigh on the team and know you all will come to enjoy working with her as much as us. We hope your first appreciation week was a good one.

To finish off Veterinary Receptionist Week, we have two very special ladies to share thanks to today. Ellie is a newer face up front and we hope you’ve had the chance to get to know her. We are so lucky to have her as a part of our team. She only wants the best for our clients and patients and she’s so willing to help however we may need her. Her kindness, empathy, and dedication to the front desk are so appreciated. She rounds herself out well as she also has skills that she can use in the back of the clinic away from the desk for more hands on patient situations. Please join us in showing some thanks and appreciation for Michelle during Receptionists Week 🥰 Michelle has been part of the AAC team since February of 2023. She comes to us originally from Alabama and has sure brought the southern charm and hospitality with her. Michelle has a huge heart and she cares for all of the patients who come through our doors. Kicking off our shoutouts of appreciation for Receptionists Week we would like to give a very special thank you to our Lead Receptionist, Mariah Bailey Burton 🫶 Mariah has been part of the AAC team since 2019 and we cant imagine life without her. She knows the ins and outs of the clinic and is always willing to help however it is needed. She has a great rapport with our clients and keeping our patients safe, happy, and healthy is very important to her. She is pictured here having a little fun between classes at VMX in Orlando. She attended the veterinary conference to gain the latest knowledge to bring back here and share with not only her peers, but to improve client service and patient care for all. With all the new staff we have acquired up front this year, Mariah has settled into the lead receptionist role like a true leader and is making sure all of the new faces are trained properly so there will be a whole team of friendly faces up there to serve you all the best we can. Thank you Mariah for all you do for us at the clinic, for all of our clients, and the pets they (and we) all love. You are appreciated so very much.

Attention Clients!!

If you are coming to visit us from the South om M-40, there is a road closed and detour sign up at Merson Corners (102nd and M-40) due to the new roundabout construction. This does not effect us and you are able to get to the clinic without using any detours. If you are coming to see us from any other direction please use posted routes. Hang in there folks we will get through construction season!

We would like to inform our clients and friends that due to the developing weather situation we will be closing the clinic early today 1/9/24 in order for our staff to get home safely to their families during the daylight hours. We will be closing by 4pm. Our phones will be off at that time also. You may still email us or leave a voicemail and your call will be returned when we reopen during normal business hours on 1/10/24.
