Getting the kids bundled! 🐴🔥❄️ SO thankful for the blankets donated to us this year!! 🙏 💕 We even have a couple spares now for the trouble makers that always manage to make a few extra holes overnight.. 😂

Snow is going steady, we’re getting the horses their grain before we tuck them in for the night. 🥣🐴💤 So far so good!

Charlie getting pampered head to toe 💆‍♀️💅

Since Charlie is a Clydesdale, a breed with feathered legs, we lather pig oil in his feathers regularly to protect the skin underneath from mud and help control feather mites by creating a barrier. The red light therapy bonnet is to help loosen the muscles in his poll before and after rides! 🙂

(BIG)HORSECARE WEDNESDAY 🐴💅💕

Today is all about the drafts(and Lakota)! 😊 Our farrier does an amazing job helping us keep our big kids balanced so their hooves can do their jobs well. ⚖️

Hagrid has ESPECIALLY made some huge improvements since we’ve started! 🤩 We’re seeing everything forming into place perfectly as we work to help his side bone set where it needs to make things as comfortable as possible for the big fellow. With that we’re also seeing better muscle formation in his chest as he is able to hold a better posture versus trying to evade the discomfort in his hooves. 🙏♥️ Good boy Hagrid!

Apollo wins the brick house feet award as he had some of the most impressive hooves today that put our farriers nippers to the test. 😂🏆

We even got to try out our new red therapy hood our friend donated to us! 🥹💝 Elsa and Lakota LOVE the hood therapy! Charlie still doesn’t quite know what to think, but then realizes his head feels funny and kinda likes it. 😂

All in all a good day for the big horses, love seeing them play about after their trims! 🐎❄️💕

Ending the weekend with a beautiful glow ride in this fluffy snow!! 🤩♥️🐴 Not to mention it was SO calm out, first night we didn’t rush inside to warm up haha. One group drove all the way from Illinois to make this ride!! So happy they had a good time and got to enjoy such a beautiful Michigan night 💕

UMMM 😭♥️♥️♥️ a friend and supporter of our ranch just sent us an AMAZING gift of care!! Like WHAT girrrll!!! 😭😭 we’re all flabbergasted over here!

Yes the horses may look silly while wearing them, but these therapy pads are an absolute blessing! 🐴✨💕 We have the small poll cap version of this and we have noticed a difference after a session. Sleepy eyes, chews, yawns, and loose muscles! Imagine what a whole hood and leg pad can do. 🤩 I cannot wait till these bad boys are charged so we can start using them!

Red light therapy(RLT) is a gentle treatment for horses that uses low wavelengths of red light to help them feel better! Here’s how it can benefit your equine friend:

Wound Healing: RLT encourages faster healing by boosting cell growth and collagen production, helping wounds mend more quickly and reducing scarring.
