We are on track to have pumpkins for Halloween! Heres a few a friend of ours already “carved”.
The curious bunch they are and they continue to grow. #farmlife #Turkeys #turkeysofinstagram #veteranfarm
Well the poultry is loving the fermented/spent grains we picked up from @aurochsbrewing today (thank you all again).
This is great for their digestion, egg quality, and a great supplement to the bugs they been cleaning out of the fields and woods.
This was during a break in the rain while we managed to clean the coops, and putting our @first_saturday_lime into the coops to keep them very clean and topping that with our @pittmoss_official chicken roost bedding that is the best we have found.
The poultry @foreverheartfarm is having a great day despite the continual rolling in of thunderstorms.

Looking for some quick ideas to make with zucchini we have here at the farm or wondering how to put some zucchini away for a rainy or cold day?
Check out these provided by one of our customers.
One of our several female ducks enjoying a refreshing swim in their pseudo pond.
The hens stop to chat and also enjoy the old zucchini, since we just picked fresh zucchini this morning and the table is loaded $1 per zucchini (check our previous post).
As we practice sustainability and reuse, we give the animals any vegetables that are no longer fresh for our customers but wonderful for them.
Even the pseudo pond water is from rooftop collection of rain water. The old water then gets dumped daily to feed the trees, native plants, and herbal plants we have placed around and in the chicken range.
