EPVMC is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Stephanie Rosenheck DACVS to our surgery department. Dr. Rosenheck has been a board-certified veterinary surgeon since 2016 and has vast experience with surgical orthopedic diseases in dogs and cats, as well as minimally invasive surgery including arthroscopy and laparoscopic surgery. She has a special interest in thoracic, reconstructive, and oncologic surgery in her patients.

Dr. Rosenheck will start taking patients the week of June 17th, but you can call or text to start booking consultations now.

5 years ago today the hospital opened its doors with the mission of offering high quality, accessible emergency and specialty veterinary care for pets of the Lehigh Valley and surrounding area.

In those 5 short years, we have continued to grow our staff, services, and internal footprint to keep that dream going. We have a few things up our sleeve for 2025 that we can't wait to share!

We want to thank our dedicated staff, which has grown from a size of 20 members to over 112.

48,488 pets have come through our doors, accompanied by 46,364 pet parents. That averages about 133 animals a day, which often comes with a wait time, we promise we don't do it on purpose we just have a whole lot going on.

We thank you for allowing us to serve your pets, entrusting us with their care, and being part of such a wonderful community.

This post is bittersweet, today is the last day on the team for Dr. Natalie Kovak of our Emergency and Critical Care department.
Dr. Kovak has brought so much of her talent, expertise, skills and general love for both animals and humans to EPVMC. We are wishing her and her family the best on their new adventure down South.

From all of us at EPVMC, all the animals you have saved, the knowledge you have shared thank you Dr. Kovak we will miss you dearly! 💕

All of the pets that come through the doors will remain in great hands with our amazing team of skilled Emergency doctors. We will continue to offer Critical Care Services as we welcome Dr. Gary Puglia board certified in Emergency Critical Care full time to the team. More information to come!

You can:
- Ask a basic question
- Request an appointment for a consultation
- Request a medication refill
- Text photo updates of your pet's progress

In the coming weeks, you will see automated and digitized forms coming from EPVMC via text to make sure our communication is transparent and as up-to-date as possible.

We have had a few people reach out about concerns about traveling tomorrow during the hours of the solar eclipse.

Monday’s event is expected to last from 2:08pm to 4:35pm, with maximum viewing time around 3:24pm.

There's really no reason to be concerned about harming your pets eyes. Dogs and cats don't normally look up into the sun, so you don't need to get any special eye protection for your pets. We do recommend to keep your pet inside in case there is a firework celebration of the eclipse which may spark anxiety in a pet. Otherwise enjoy this very exciting and educational event!

Meet R***r he is a unicorn 🦄. Okay not a reeeeal unicorn actually he is a bluetick coonhound, but he has unicorn blood 🩸. R***r is considered a universal blood donor and his blood can be used to share with other pups in need.
R***r is the bestest boy and we are so thankful that he shared his magical blood to a pup in need.
