Decided to study and not ride yesterday when I went home (unfortunately) but very glad I got to see the ponies and farm. Will definitely be back to ride very soon 🎠

Scottsdale… they call it The Greatest Horse Show On Earth and I believe it is.

Last night, I won the Arabian Horse Times Reader’s Choice Awards Youth of the Year Award. Disbelief. Bittersweet. Gratitude. Of many emotions, these are the most prevalent. Since my dad FaceTimed and surprised me last night while he was accepting this award on my behalf, I still do not believe it. This list, as with all of the ones in the past, encompasses the best youth handlers in our country who all deserve great recognition. To be recognized with them is, in itself, an honor, but I didn’t really think it would be my name being called this year… As my dad mentioned, I will - for the first time ever - not be attending Scottsdale this year. I am currently preparing to take the MCAT this April, which is the medical school entrance exam, and will use it to apply to medical school this summer. Although I could not be more excited for what my future and newest journey holds, it definitely does not make knowing that I will be a little less involved than I have been with the Arabian horses (for a very brief time) any easier. That being coupled with the fact that 2024 was my last year as a youth competitor makes earning this award even more bittersweet in the best of many ways. Gratitude. I do not know where or who I would be without the Arabian horse. It has shaped me and given me endless priceless experiences and opportunities that I believe most other things would not and could not compare to. I truly cannot exude how thankful I am enough. The people it has brought into my life are some of the best I know and I cannot imagine my life without each and every one of them in it. I have learned so much and will continue to do so from the Arabian and its people, and I will do everything I can to be able to give back even half of what it has given and done for me. And of course, last but by no means least, I thank my parents - my endless support system, my backbone, my inspiration for everything I strive to become and do in my lifetime.

With all of that being said, have a WONDERFUL time in Scottsdale, soak up the sun and incomparable energy, and enjoy the beautiful horses and beautiful people. I will see you at Region 12 and am counting down the days! I love and miss you all☀️🎠💖 And I look forward to sharing my journey through it all. Thank you to everyone for your support and for following along. Cheers to what has and is to come✨🥂

Some moments from winter break since the spring semester officially started back this past week🥰

Definitely missing the ponies and am super happy I got to go ride this weekend, but I am already ready to get back🫶

Between classes, work, and other fun extras, the semester, like the past few, will be quite busy so my posting will probably be a little more inconsistent than I would like… but this year, I am aiming to be more active more often! I look forward to what the year holds and the growth that will come with it🌟💗

Just wanted to pop on and say THANK YOU to those who have been following along and to those who have recently joined to keep up with Arabians by MJ! We have just hit 2k+ followers and OVER 88K on the video featuring the one and only KM Bugatti soaking up the snow day we were blessed to have on the farm, which was truly a STUNNING day and experience. I am so ready to see what this year will bring, and am so incredibly excited to continue to grow this page and continue sharing my journey with you all.
