Some heroes wear capes — but this one wears orange fur and carries a heart full of love. Chicago has only one eye, but he sees the world with endless warmth and gratitude. Every purr, every head nudge, every soft gaze tells a story of resilience and hope.

Despite what he’s been through, Chicago’s spirit shines bright. He loves gentle cuddles, quiet afternoons in a sunbeam, and being close to the people he trusts. There’s something truly special about the way he leans into love as if he knows how precious it is.

Urgent Funds Needed 🙏🐾

I am currently at MedVet - Akron with my grandpup Spots 😭 He is experiencing paralysis, having seizures, and has a very low temperature. He did have a tick on his neck earlier in the week however it was successfully removed. Last night he started having diarrhea with some blood in it. This morning he was paralyzed and he was having muscle spasms 😭😭 On the way to the ER he started having full blown seizures! He had probably 6-8 of them in the 50 minute drive and each one got worse with the last one lasting over 2 minutes!
PTSD is real folks because that drive up here will never go away. One of the many horrors rescue people live with on a daily basis. An ER visit on a Saturday isn't going to be cheap and I could really use some help with his bill today if you can spare a few dollars. 🐾🐾🙏 MedVet doesn't take donations over the phone so he's going in under the rescue name but I personally will be paying thw bill, so if anyone wants to help a gal out with the bill it would be absolutely amazing because I'm a Mimi to 9 grandbabies and it's almost Christmas so my spare money is already spent on Christmas presents 😅😅. Additional $14.00 licensing fee for all dogs. All dogs available for adoption have had a wellness exam, are spayed/neutered , microchipped, and have received age appropriate vaccines (Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper and Parvo.)

So, really, if I wear this, someone might finally adopt me? *Sigh* Fine.

Emmit may look a little boo-hoo in his costume, but this 3 year old American Bulldog/Lab mix is really all treats and no tricks. 💕 Emmit is a special guy — he’s deaf, but that doesn’t slow him down one bit. He’s smart and eager to please. He’s learned hand signals and picks things up fast (especially when treats are involved!). Emmit is housetrained, enjoys walks, and gets along great with other dogs. Most of all, he loves attention and would thrive with an active family ready to shower him with love and continue his training.

A full-blown investigation has been launched at One Of A Kind Pet Rescue. Everyone is considered a suspect and all will be interrogated. Someone has made the mistake of naming this adorable puppy, “❌ICHIGAN.” we will not tolerate this level of abuse at our organization and will exhaust all efforts in finding the perpetrator. In the meantime, we need someone to adopt this puppy as quickly as possible, and change the name immediately upon adoption! Something more fitting for this baby boy, like Buckeye, Woody, or Brutus would suffice. If you have any information at all on who could have committed this heinous crime, please report to the adoption center immediately to speak with our investigators!
