We care about our creatures safety.

Some of these lovely creatures have found an amazing home this past months. Ming and her Mate Wong have found an amazing home locally where they will be loved and are sharing a coop with a couple of others of their species, they got a huge pasture to Roam in and huge pond to look forward to!
These two amazing goslings now live across town, with their new mother!.

Announcement regarding acquiring our 2023 Hatches/ eggs / grow outs and more..
effective immediately, I will be requiring a deposit on orders, in the last month Iāve had not one not two but 7 people back out on orders they had made, how does that affect L&L Feather farm?
Iāve been having to let other clients know Iām low on certain breeds, eggs and adults.. leaving them wondering if I even want to do any business with them, making me lose potential repeat clients.. and business..
Most of the people who backed out have either said they couldnāt afford them or found somewhere much cheaper.
I been down that found ācheaperā somewhere else road and they have come back saying ā they werenāt what they said they wereā āthey werenāt sexed correctlyā āthey didnāt surviveā āI got ripped offā etc etc..
I have insured my customers all my the creatures they have acquired from me. We have been NPIP tested, we worm on a regular basis, we provide fresh bedding, water & food, occasional vitamins and minerals, we work hours and hours to ensure our birds are living the life they deserve, if you canāt afford one we make sure we can make it as affordable as possible so that both parties can live happily and the bird(s) lives safe.
Now back to orders..
We will be having Sebastopol Goslings available
Cotton patch in the coming months
Expect more in the fall.
Feel free to message me on Facebook
We do NOT ship š¢ for safety reasons I am against shipping, itās unfair treatment to a small creature..
Hello 2023 Hatch: Dewlap Toulouse Gosling, probably Buff! Praying for Buff as our beautiful Dewlap Gander āTomā is split for Buff and Grey!
Giving the Gift of life at its finest! Thank God. more to come!
Well hello first hatch of the year, barnyard mix for a co worker!
Geese coming soon!
Egyptian geese aren't native to , but you may find some near lakes or canals. They're monogamous, and a couple stays together for life, so when you see an adorable little family like this, give them the space and respect they deserve.
And chicken flocks donāt need geese as āGuardsā geese often only guard their own offspring they donāt just serve as a guard animal, they are just a meal to any predator just like a chicken would be, please donāt just adopt a goose to quote āguardā your chicken or duck flock and geese also need a mate or companion too. ,
As baby chick season approaches and the price of eggs keep rising, Iām sure a lot of people are tempted to raise chickens themselves. Before people flock (no pun intended š¤£) to their local farm store and start buying all the baby chicks please consider the following 10 fun factsā¦.
1. Most hens do not start laying eggs until 18-22 weeks of age (thatās about 5 months give or take)
2. For the first few weeks of their lives baby chickens need to be kept at a temperature of around 95 degrees Fahrenheit
3. Chicks need to eatā¦SURPRISE! And like the price of everything else chicken feed has went up. A 50lb bag of layer is over $20.
4. Chickens moltā¦what does that mean? Your chicken will become ugly and stop laying eggs for a period of time.
5. Chickens donāt lay as many eggs in the winter months.
6. The average lifespan of a chicken is 5-10 years.
7. Predators such as foxes, coyotes, neighborās dogs and even raccoons will hunt your chickens.
8. Chickens will p**p EVERYWHERE and I mean everywhere so be prepared to clean their pen often or if they are free range be sure to check your step or look before you sit.
9. Chickens love to dig holes and destroy bedding around flowers in the yard, good luck keeping them from doing so.
10. Chickens can get medical issues just like any other animal.
Iām not trying to discourage anyone from raising their own food in fact I think itās great. However chickens are animals, animals that require attention and proper care.
So while I get that you donāt want to spend $7 on a dozen eggs double think your decision before you go gung ho on being a chicken farmer. Just do your research, itās not like getting a fish š¤¦š¼āāļø
Sincerely,
A fellow chicken owner
Someoneās ready for breeding season!
At our parent farm, mounted archery in Murray Calloway County KY.
Tulip was raised here since he was a week old, we thought he was a Female Goose but come breeding season turned out to be a male thus we had to put him in with his other brothers who didnāt have a part this year, now Tulip, has now found an amazing home & partner to be happy and bond with and an amazing family who will love and take amazing care of him, he is truly a remarkable Goose, who will always be loved even at a far distance at L&L, thank you Patty Randolph White for taking him in today.
This little hen decided it was her time to shine, which it was and is! We love our Spitzhauben hens. She wasnāt very happy of this drought but she loved moving around the hen house
Our Muscovy Drake isnāt really enjoying this crazy heat! He thinks itās very disrespectful, please check on your animals, they depend on you to provide fresh water and greens during these extreme weather conditions.
These incredible ladies and Awesome Gander who we raised as babies, have just been adopted into an amazing family who also have another lovely gander waiting for them!
Thank you! We love our buff and hope and know they will be happy at their new home !
Thank you Shana Lamoreaux!
Late hatchers? Yes! We are still laying, as the end of mating season approaches we are seeing the last of these little critters pop out of their egg shell, Cotton Patch Gaggle is growing strong, what beautiful markings.
Welcome to the farm! These two year old Pomeranian Saddle Backs needed a better home where they could actually graze and live a much peaceful life than the one in their past, some still have rough feathers from living under awful muddy conditions, waterfowl can produce mud but these were almost to the point where they couldnāt drink clean water, enough said we are happy to give them an amazing life here. Every goose counts, As of 2021 Pomeranian geese have been added to the āCritically endangeredā list in the Livestock conservancy list of endangered species.
