UPDATE AS OF 1/8/25!
The dog that was hit by car on 12/13/24, near the airport, was seen on Indian Reserve Rd near the girl scout camp last Saturday, 1/4/25. If people in that area could put out dog food... if they see tracks... I can set a trap. She will bolt if anybody tries to talk to her or approach so they just need to note place and time and report it to Animal Control 989-354-9841

(The dog's owner's mother just passed away. Let's bring her dog home for her. ❤️

If anybody has a fenced yard in that area, please let me know.)

Inside the Merchant Building at the Alpena County Fairgrounds.

A second vaccination clinic has been scheduled for Friday, February 21, 2025 from 6:00pm-9:00pm

- Walk-in... no appointment necessary.
- BE PATIENT, PLEASE. We will get to everybody as quickly as possible.
- Do not all come at once in the very beginning. We will be there until 3:00pm... if we need to stay later to get everybody through, we will do that.

Michigan Dog Law, which requires your dog(s) to be up to date with its rabies vaccination AND have a current year dog license. This is a wonderful opportunity ... don't miss out.

- Puppies must be 16 weeks old or older for rabies vaccination. We will have puppy core vaccinations available.
- Will be a 1-year vaccine unless you provide proof of prior/current vaccination status to receive a 3-year vaccine.
- A rabies tag is NOT proof... you must provide a rabies certificate from previous vaccinations in order to get a 3-year vaccination this year or your dog will receive another 1-year vaccination.
- Must have proof of spay in order for us to indicate spayed on the rabies certificate.
- If receiving a core vaccination without proof of prior vaccination, you must attend the February 21st vaccination clinic to booster it, or the first vaccination will not provide protection for your dog.

*** If you know your dog is aggressive, please leave your dog in your vehicle. We will vaccinate those dogs at the vehicle or make special arrangements to get them done.

"These 2 boys are now lodged at our shelter, Cheboygan County Humane Society- CCHS. Unfortunately, no one has come forward for them.. We are still seeking any information!"
