Here are four helpful tips for keeping your pup safe and calm during today's firework festivities from a dog expert we trust, Peach on a Leash Dog Training & Behavior Services: ⭐️ Stay home with your pup during fireworks. You need the information on how your dog copes with them, and they need your support. ⭐️ Do not have your dog outside during fireworks - even for a potty break if you can help it. Make sure your dog is wearing a well-fitted collar and ID tag, and if you must take your dog out, have them on leash. ⭐️ Keep your dog in a safe and quiet room, potentially with white noise to help mask the booms. ⭐️ Don’t forget - you cannot reinforce fear, so please DO comfort your dog if they are panicking! If it’s your first fireworks-related holiday with your pup, know that you’ve got this! Watch your dog’s body language and adjust your plan accordingly.
