Talk about puppy love! π
While waiting for his turn for surgery, little Topher had a love affair with Estela. It started with scratching an itch and ended with some smooches. Not sure if this is appropriate for the workplace! π«£
But who can blame her when you see that face? π₯Ή

The drama we see in the clinic sometimes! π
We get pets of all types at the clinic and some can be Tony-award winning actors with the hilarious personalities we see. Part of this is the stress of being in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people. But if your pet is whining or acting out of character when you get home it is likely a side-effect of the anesthesia. It can take 24-48 hours for the anesthesia to leave your pet's system and during this time they can sometimes be more vocal, seem lethargic, have a low appetite, or be a bit wobbly on their feet.
If you have any questions or concerns about your pet post-surgery, don't hesitate to reach out!

Golden Boy was snoozing away until we plopped a meal in front of him. Surgery can take a lot of you! (Enjoy his little eating sounds π»)
Pets react to coming out of anesthesia in a lot of different ways. Some pets won't want to eat for the first day or so after surgery. Others might be more vocal than normal or be a little wibbly-wobbly on their feet. And plenty of pets bounce back like nothing happened!
It is all normal, but if you have any concerns about your pet during recovery, our clinic is here to help π©·

Sorah was showing off her masterful biscuit-makers in thanks for making sure she got her High Qualify, Low Cost spay surgery. If you didn't know, the kneading behavior Sorah was engaged in is colloquially known as "biscuit making" and is a sign that cats are content and happy!

If there were an event in the Summer Olympics for paper-wrangling, we suspect Cora would be a contender for the gold!π
During the post-op recovery time, it is important to encourage rest and activities that don't have your pet(s) being too physically active. Get creative with special toys, puzzles, and games to keep them stimulated during their recovery period.
