MONROE ~~ Domestic Shorthair, Neutered Male, Black, 14.5 pounds, DOB: 4/14/2015
Meet our big and sassy boy Monroe! He is absolutely stunning with a silky, shiny sable black coat. If you are a fan of large male cats, Monroe is your guy!
ABOUT MONROE: He is a very independent cat who may take a little time to warm up to new people. Give him the time and space to get to know you, and before you know it, he will be rubbing on your legs and may even reward you by jumping up in your lap for a minute. He would love to have a cat tree to climb, some comfy beds and a large window to look out of and watch the birds and squirrels from!
This boy definitely has some cat-itude ~~ he can be temperamental and wants love and affection on his terms, like many cats. Monroe may not be a super cuddly lap cat, but may surprise you and want to jump up into your lap. He is very much a contradiction at times! He is currently on Gabapentin 3 times per day and is responding well to that for some boarding related anxiety. Monroe should be able to be weaned off the medication once he is comfortable and happy in his new home.
OTHER PETS/KIDS? We are not sure how he is with dogs or other cats, but may do well with other calm and non-aggressive pets in the home. Monroe should do well with older children who know not to try and hold him or pick him up.
MEDICAL: Monroe is healthy, up to date on vaccines and vet services, has a negative f***l test and combo test. He will come to his new home with 1 month Feline Revolution Plus for heartworms, fleas, ticks, intestinal parasites and ear mites. He should remain on this for life to keep him healthy and happy.
To meet Monroe and see if he is a purr-fect match, visit him at Crabapple Knoll Vet Clinic, 12604 Crabapple Road, Alpharetta, GA. 770.475.8272. Please visit at least two hours prior to closing. Monday to Friday 630AM to 7PM, Saturday and Sunday 8AM to 4PM. We are closed on all major holidays.

LION-O ~~ Domestic Shorthair, Grey, Neutered Male, 19 pounds, DOB: 2/26/22

Meet Lion-O, our big, handsome grey boy with gorgeous golden eyes! If you are a fan of large male cats, Lion-O definitely wants to meet you! Don't tell him, but he does need to lose few pounds and has begun his weight loss journey with a special diet (Royal Canin Multi-Function Urinary/Satiety Formula).

Lion-O is a sometimes shy boy who may take a little time to warm up to new people. Just go slowly with him, let him come to you and adjust at his own pace. Once he is familiar with you, he will purr up a storm and you will have a big, grey friend for life. He is playful, enjoys treats (in moderation, of course) and would love to find a home with some comfy beds and a nice big window to look out.

Lion-O's most favorite things in the world are Churu treats and cat hidey-houses/cat caves.

Lion-O is current on all of his vaccines and vet services, is healthy, microchipped, neutered and has a negative combo test and negative f***l exam.

Lion-O needs to be the only cat in your home as he does not care for other cats. We are not sure how he does with friendly dogs, as he has not been around them. He may do well with older children who don't try to pick him up.

If you are looking for a young cat to add to your family, come and meet Lion-O, spend some time with him and see if he is a good match for you and your family.

Crabapple Knoll Vet Clinic, 12604 Crabapple Road, Alpharetta, GA. 770.475.8272. Monday to Friday 630AM to 7PM, Saturday and Sunday 8AM to 4PM. Closed on all major holidays. Please visit at least 2 hours prior to closing.

As temperatures drop, it's essential to remember that winter weather can be tough on our furry friends. Here are some tips to keep your pets safe and warm during the colder months:

Limit Outdoor Time – Cold weather can cause frostbite and hypothermia. Keep walks short and take breaks to warm up inside.
Bundle Up – Small dogs, short-haired breeds, and senior pets may need a sweater or jacket to stay warm.
Protect Their Paws – Snow, ice, and salt can irritate paws. Wipe off paws after walks and consider pet-friendly booties.
Keep Them Dry – Wet fur can lead to chills. Make sure your pet is dry after being outside, especially after rain or snow.
Provide Shelter – If your pets are spending time outdoors, ensure they have a dry, warm place to escape the cold.
Watch for Toxic Items – Antifreeze and salt are toxic to pets. Keep them out of reach and clean up any spills immediately.
Your pet’s health and happiness matter year-round. Call us if you have any concerns about your pet’s safety during the winter months! 770-475-8272

SEVEN ~~ Spayed Female, Domestic Shorthair, White & Grey Tabby, 9 Pounds, DOB: 7/28/23

Seven is a very special girl who is friendly and social. She has a great personality and loves to be with people. Seven would most likely do great with other friendly and non-aggressive cats. We do not know how she will do with dogs, however.

Seven is a sweet girl who generally warms up to new people fairly quickly. Once she realizes you are her friend, she purrs non stop and makes biscuits for days! She has the most gorgeous golden eyes and silky coat. This girl has it all! She is curious about her enviornment and will make an excellent companion for someone.

Seven is spayed and microchipped, has a negative combo test and negative f***l, is up to date on vaccines and ready to find her forever home. Her adoption fee is $130 and includes one month of Feline Revolution Plus.

If you have space in your heart and home for a truly exceptional cat, come and visit Seven and see if she is a good match for you.
