CAN YOU HELP? WE NEED A FOSTER HOME FOR ROSS.
HE’S AN AMAZING BOY~~SMART, LOVING, GREAT PERSONALITY.
Ross has been at Crabapple for OVER TWO LONG YEARS. We’re looking for a permanent foster home for him with one of our great clients. Ross deserves to have a wonderful life out of a cage and will thrive in a home with a family of his own to love. We will provide all of his food, medications, and vet services, baths, etc. You provide lots of love and a place for Ross to live. Interested? Call the Clinic or come meet him. First come, first served.
ROSS ~~ Boxer Mix, Fawn and White, Neutered Male, 68 pounds, Birthdate: 12/27/2021
Are you a dog lover looking for a special dog to add to your family? Come meet Ross and see if he checks off all the boxes. Ross is looking for his forever person.... someone who "gets him" and can't live without him. Is that you? He’s dog selective and may do very well in a home with another similarly sized, friendly and non-aggressive pup, once they meet and have a slow, controlled proper canine introduction. Ross will not do well in a home with cats or other small animals.
FAVORITE THINGS IN THE WORLD: Ross absolutely loses his mind when you play fetch with him. He loves to chase the tennis ball and brings it back to anyone who will play! Tug of war is another huge favorite. He loves playing games with everyone. After playtime, Ross enjoys movie marathons on the couch (if invited). Ross would be considered a super chewer and will need to have some tough chew toys available for him to gnaw on and amuse himself with.
FUN FACTS: Ross is very gentle, intelligent, playful, and curious about his surroundings. He enjoys belly rubs, learning new things and would do well in any family situation: with an active couple, single person or family with older kids. He may not be the best candidate with very small kids ~~ he may jump up on them in excitement. However, with a little practice and training, he could learn not to do this. He’s pretty good on the leash but is a strong boy in need of a strong, confident, capable handler.
Ross is energetic, fun-loving, gentle, playful and goofy. He would love a fenced backyard to run around in. Do you have some cool toys, like to go for hikes or go running? Even better! Ross is food/treat motivated and would enjoy being by your side wherever you go!
OTHER PETS: Ross is dog selective and should do well in a home with another similarly sized, friendly dog. They should have a slow and controlled proper canine introduction. We always suggest a meeting of other dogs prior to adoption to ensure a smooth transition to a new home. Ross will not do well in a home with cats or other small animals.
HEALTH/MEDICAL/DIET: Ross is up to date on vet services, vaccines, is microchipped, neutered, and has a negative heartworm and f***l test. Ross has some food sensitivity issues and needs to remain on his special diet and special treats (which you can get from us whenever needed). He could also have some fruits and veggies as treats (carrots, peppers, green beans…so many fun things for Ross to try). Ross is on medication for boarding-related anxiety. He should be able to be slowly weaned off them once his is settled into his new home and happy in his surroundings.
