If anyone in the Alpharetta area, specially those who live in Nottingham Gate off of Webb Bridge road have seen this cat, please notify the owner or bring him immediately to our clinic. He is a very sweet cat, but also a little on the shy side. He went missing yesterday morning and the owners have not seen him since. He is microchipped.

True but crazy story..

Dr Kennedy’s son was working at the car wash when someone drove up and these kittens started to fall out from underneath the car. The owner of the car had no idea some kittens had taking refuge under his car. So, of course he called his mom and Dr Kennedy came to pick up the kittens!

We have had them for a few weeks and they are now thriving. There are 3 boys and 1 girl, about 6 weeks old.
Come by to play with them and see if you want to take one home!!

We will be closed on Monday September 2 for Labor Day. Have a safe and relaxing day!

This afternoon, at the ABA Annual Meeting in Chicago, Emmet Bondurant was awarded the American Bar Association Medal.
The ABA Medal is the highest honor given by the world’s leading legal association to an individual who has, “rendered conspicuous service in the cause of American jurisprudence.”
Since 1929, the ABA Medal has recognized individuals whose remarkable achievements and contributions to society and the legal field have made a lasting and significant impact and advanced the cause of justice. Distinguished recipients of this prestigious award include Oliver Wendell Holmes, Thurgood Marshall, Sandra Day O’Conner, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Emmet has devoted more than sixty years to vigorously pursuing justice and defending his clients' interests. Emmet’s contributions to pivotal civil rights and constitutional matters, such as voting rights, legislative reapportionment, indigent defense reform, and death penalty defense, highlight his dedication to upholding democratic values and ensuring fair representation for all.
At the age of 26, Emmet changed our country for the better by successfully arguing Wesberry v. Sanders before the United States Supreme Court, the groundbreaking “ one man, one vote” case establishing the principle of equal population in congressional districts. He championed fair representation and racial justice, notably opposing state voter-identification laws and opposing partisan gerrymandering in the United States Supreme Court in Rucho v. Common Cause.
Emmet also advocated for systemic criminal justice reforms, leading to the creation of a Georgia-wide indigent defense system with the Indigent Defense Act of 2003.
Emmet’s commitment to justice extends to his pro bono work for Georgia's indigent citizens and for Guantanamo detainees, reflecting his dedication to the underserved and unrepresented.

Poinsettias are NOT the deadly flowers that popular legend has made them out to be.

This red beauty always makes a strong showing around the holidays. The sap of poinsettias can be irritating to the stomach leading to drooling 🤤, vomiting 🤮 and diarrhea 💩. Keeping this plant out of the reach of your pet to avoid stomach upset is still a good idea, but you need not banish the poinsettia from your home for fear of a fatal exposure.
