Alpine Acres Farm currently has Silkies and Marans. Silkies are a bantam breed known for broody tendencies and for being excellent mothers.

Marans lay a beautiful dark brown egg that is unique in the chicken world. After several years off, we now have two breeds of chickens with chicks occasionally available. Silkies are an adorable Bantam breed with fluffy feathers, who lay a small cream colored egg, and are wonderful broody hens and moms. We also have Black and Blue Copper Marans, who lay a brown, often chocolate colored egg.
