As National Wellness month continues, we find it's incredibly important that all are getting much needed care and treatment to help live a longer and healthier life, including our horses. Recently Dr. Q from AAC Family Wellness Center stopped by to treat all of our horses to some chiropractic balance.

The world lost a special soul this week. Mark rode at the facility for many years. Mark was the most enthusiastic and excited rider we have ever had. Mark you touched many lives and you will remain in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, you will truly be missed.

Lessons with Miss Abigail are always guaranteed to be fun. She’s such a bright little girl and is so funny we always end the night laughing. She is so sweet as well, always patting her horse and telling them what a great job they did whenever she completes a task. And how she just encourages herself when riding, it is so incredible to watch, even when she’s a bit nervous she always gets through it and finishes by saying I did really well tonight, I’m so proud of myself, which always puts a smile on all of our faces!

Victoria Acres Equine Facility in Guilderland NY needs to expand our lesson programs but we need the support of our community to do that!

Each of our PATH Therapy lessons takes 3 volunteers to provide.
Do you have 3 hours/one day a week to change the life of our clients? Then we need you! Our lessons run Monday-Friday from 3-6ish. Volunteering with our programs is one of the most rewarding opportunities you can have! All training is provided.

This horse is Oakie a/k/a Oakwood Avenue. He's one of the best therapists ever, handling wheelchairs and lifts as if they were nothing and helping his riders achieve better balance and build strength without ever complaining.

Now Oakie needs our help. Oakie is in need of a tooth extraction at an equine hospital ASAP.

The anticipated cost for Oakie's transport and extraction is $2,000.00. Can you help us by donating for Oakie's oral care?

Introducing our newest instructor to the Barn, Sarah Walsh! Sarah has been volunteering at Victoria Acres for some time now and with her background and love of horses, it was the perfect match to promote her to one of our instructors. VAEF Volunteers - Can anyone help out at the Equality for Equines Fundraising Event hosted by Helderberg Meadworks on Saturday, June 8th? We'll have a table set up so guests can come up to find out more about VAEF and what we do, we'll also have T-Shirts to sell and order forms available (Cash only in advance). We still need people for the following shifts: 2-4pm and 4-6pm, at least 2 people per shift would be helpful. This is an awesome event, so if you can help out, please contact Michelle to let her know!
