I truly love my senior pups. I believe this little girl is 16. I have only been grooming her for the last 6-7 months or so, but she does very well. I know it can be harder for older dogs to have to suddenly start with a new groomer, but she seemed to come to trust me fairly quickly. I'm not above bribery and may have spent that first, and most of her appointments, just carrying her around. Even better if I wrap her in a warm towel fresh from the dryer.

Yesterday I was given the sad news that little Gracie crossed the rainbow bridge. She was the very last of my original clients from when I first opened. 17 years was still not long enough and my thoughts are with her family and everyone who loved this sweet little girl. Always such a love and I was honored to be her groomer throughout her life.

I know there have been concerns regarding the canine upper respiratory illness that has been reported on recently. The good news is, of the 14 states with confirmed cases, NY is not one of them. I certainly understand the concern as we all love our pets and want them with us for as long as possible. For our part, we continue to sanitize the salon and equipment. We ask that any dogs that have traveled out of state or are around dogs from out of state wait 2 weeks before coming into the salon. Thank you all so much.

I started my grooming career way back in 1995. Fell in love with this profession, and can honestly say, after all this time, I still love what I do. I have far more aches and pains at the end of the day, lol, but I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found a career I truly enjoy. I still don't quite understand how others survive their work day without a room full of dogs and cats, (you have my admiration) I don't think I'd make it lol.
