Details:
Book (2) 60-minute on-site visits and (2) 30-minute phone calls for guidance. Services will occur between April 1 - May 31. Limit 1 household per booking. Households must be located within 25 miles of Alton. Travel rate of $10/visit will be added to locations 10+ miles outside of Alton. Supplies will be available at wholesale cost.

Option to book will be available until spots are filled.

We’re Rachel and Stephen Greathouse, the new owners of what was formerly Alldredge Orchards, now reimagined as Apple of My Eye Farm & Orchard! Our journey to this farm was years in the making, and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you.

For Rachel, this is a homecoming. After 15 years away, she’s returning to her roots in Parkville with a deep passion for sustainable farming. With a Master of Social Work and a background in Sustainability, her love for growing food started on a simple windowsill and eventually led to leasing farmland in 2022.

Stephen, a freelance cinematographer, has been by Rachel’s side through every step of this farming adventure. While supporting her passion for agriculture, he’s also eager to capture the beauty of farm life and explore new filming opportunities in Kansas City.

After a two-year search for the perfect land, we knew Alldredge Orchards was the one the moment we stepped onto the property—hence the name, Apple of My Eye. We’re honored to build upon the incredible legacy that Curt and Kristy created while also bringing new ideas, events, and programming to the farm.

Our vision is simple: to create a space where family and friends can slow down, connect, and make lasting “core” memories together. Whether you’re a longtime visitor or discovering the farm for the first time, we hope you’ll join us for the next chapter of this special place.

👩‍🌾May 10: First Market! 8am-12pm, Alton Farmers' & Artisans' Market

I'm also working on posting free resources like a seeding calendar and a garden planner, which will pair with a limited offer to book consultations on what your specific needs are for your family and in your yard. 🤗

Microgreens are 10 days away and will be available for pickup at Maeva's Coffee & more!

2025, is that you?

It feels like you're going to make 2024 hold your drink. As it should! After a year like this, the only thing certain about what's next is that it's coming in HOT 🔥

FYI. It's been SUCH an honor to grow with you and for you once again.

🌙 On Friday, November 8, Community Christian Church will be hosting a Sleep Out to raise awareness and funds for the Overnight Warming Locations. The Sleep Out is an experiential event that instructs participants on the silent issue of homelessness, elevates discussion among their circles of influence, and raises funds for OWLs to work with those experiencing homelessness.

🦉 The group's night IN the cold helps those experiencing homelessness come OUT of the cold this winter. Money raised by the Sleep Out event will support OWLs as we help to guide those experiencing homeless to the resources they need to get warm, get connected, and get well.
