When it comes to emotional and physical support from our furry friends, it’s important to understand the distinction between Emotional Support Animals (ESA) and Service Dogs:

1. Emotional Support Animals (ESA)
• Purpose: Provide emotional comfort and support for individuals with mental health challenges (like anxiety, depression, PTSD).
• Training: No specialized training is required. They offer companionship by their presence alone.
• Rights: Protected under the Fair Housing Act, meaning they can live in no-pet housing with Dr note. However, ESAs are not permitted in public spaces like stores or restaurants.
• Examples: Any domesticated animal can be an ESA, not just dogs!

2. Service Dogs

Here’s another comparison of trimming vs. dremeling nails:
• Top image: This shows a basic nail trim. While the standard “rule” suggests cutting near the center circle to avoid the quick, it can sometimes be misleading.
• Bottom image: This demonstrates the results of dremeling. Not only are the nails smoother and less sharp, but I can also safely shorten them further. Dremeling provides more control and a “warning” before hitting the quick, unlike clipping, which doesn’t allow for adjustments once the cut is made.

*Reminder these are not the only days I can do nail trims, if you are in an area where I will be grooming/bathing other animals, we can work something out. Please reach out if these days don’t work and I will try my best to accommodate

•Monday Feb 3 4-7pm - edwardsville/glen carbon

•Thursday Feb 6 4-7pm - Collinsville/troy/maryville

•Friday Feb 7 4-7pm - Grafton

•Monday Feb 10 5-7. Between edwardsville to Alton

•Thursday Feb 13 4-7pm - between Godfrey/alton to edwardsville/glen carbon

•Friday Feb 14 4-7pm st Jacob/highland/marine

•Monday Feb 17 4-7pm - Belleville

Here’s how it works:
•You must be available during the entire time slot
•Message me if interested and what day you would like
•I will have you fill out a short form, if you haven’t before
•Once I have everyone’s addresses I will put on maps to make a route that makes sense
•THEN I will give you a 30 min window on when to expect me.

•You must allow me to muzzle IF they are showing aggressive signs
•I come in your home. You must provide a space for me to work, I usually do this in kitchen or on a floor that’s easy clean up or on carpet if they handle better, but I’m not picky.
• I will only do it outside in backyard if it’s not too hot or too cold.
