Merry was with us a couple months ago and is now ready for her forever home! She is such a great dog! Please share to find her forever!

Merry 🎄

Merry's kennel is located right in front of the door leading back to our kennel area. If you walk into our Edwardsville building, chances are that you'll see Merry standing up in her kennel staring at you. She's just waiting patiently for someone to adopt her!

Merry is a very sweet, innocent pup. She's gorgeous but also smart. She walks well on leash and has enjoyed meeting other dog friends while with us.

Anyone interested in adopting 2 year old, 66 lbs. Merry should stop by our Edwardsville location today between 11:30 and 5. Questions can be directed to [email protected].

Alton Animal Control recently had all of their floors completely redone, as it was long overdue! When re-doing our floors, we knew we needed to do something extra for our dogs, and put a plea out to get them Kuranda heavy duty shelter beds. These beds are easily cleaned and chew proof. While our floors are heated in the kennels, it’s not comfortable to sleep on a concrete floor!
Simmons Hanley Conroy Law Firm answered our plea and purchased ALL FIFTEEN shelter beds for us! We are so thankful for your generous donation and supporting the dogs of Alton!

Roy is looking for rescue! He is a more compact fella, and absolutely LOVES kids. He has been non reactive to other dogs in our care. Roy is around a year old, and very playful! He doesn’t know a stranger!

She is NOT a large dog at all. She is maybe 30 pounds. She is small!!

We need to get Mable to rescue asap! She was left abandoned in a hotel and obviously hasn’t been well cared for. We do not believe she is very old, maybe 3-4. She has a bad skin infection and a swollen back foot, possibly from an ingrown toe nail. She also has had loose stools the week she has been with us. We need to get her some vet care ASAP! Her pictures don’t show how small she is, only around 30 pounds!

If you have space for Mable in rescue, please let us know ASAP!

Lainey is looking for rescue! Lainey was left abandoned, tied to a pole in Alton. She is is a super adorable, gentle girl! She is kid friendly and has been non reactive to other dogs in our care. We believe she is around 5-6 years old.

Yesterday, we pulled these four adorable kittens from Alton, IL Animal Care and Control and thanks to one of our amazing fosters, they went straight into a loving home instead of a kennel. Now, they’re cozy, safe, and already showing off their sibling teamwork.💪💙💚🧡

Fosters are everything to our mission. They give vulnerable animals a soft place to land, prepare pets for their forever homes and help us save more lives. And with kitten season right around the corner, we need more fosters now more than ever!

You likely won't be going anywhere fast with this pup! Four-year-old Chocolate Chip loves having her nose to the ground! Although a lazy house dog is her likely future, she feels she would make an exceptional detective! 🔎

CC is described as being polite and very sweet! She is about 45 lbs. and the perfect medium size. CC enjoys cats and dogs, and we also think she'd enjoy kids, too!

We cannot believe Drummer has not been tagged. He has been with us several weeks now. He is such an adorable smaller fella! He also has the most gorgeous eyeliner. 😍
