Today we want to highlight Bark Twain. Bark Twain was adopted out once and returned so he truly has grown up in the shelter environment: despite that though he is actually a really goofy, happy, social kid! In his kennel he is a crazy dog who has so much pent up energy. Once you get him out and give him a couple minutes to shake it off he settles quickly. He loves car rides to go on adventures too.

He was at CPHS PAWS In the PARK! yesterday and he was truly a rockstar. He greeted every person with a charming personality and absolutely adored meeting other dogs. Despite his size, he makes himself small to play with puppies so they can be the "same size" to even out the playing field. That's a great trait to have and we didn't even teach him that!

He is about 2 years old. He is microchipped, vaccinated and neutered. He still cannot live with cats but since we have exposed him to other people and dogs, we can take off some of the restrictions we had originally placed on him (we had him as dog selective and older children only). We try to ensure we are doing right by the animal and it's behavior we see at the shelter and sometimes we do too much because of it. He loved meeting children yesterday and since he was out of the shelter, we saw such a sweeter side to Bark Twain. 💙💙

We will be closed this entire weekend due to our event, CPHS PAWS In the PARK! Our staff is going to be bringing our adoptables out to the park to get some time out of the shelter!

Stephen is a 2-year-old male. He is learning all about life in his foster home! Stephen is available for adoption, but visits must be scheduled with him as he is not physically at the shelter!!

Because he is in a foster home, we know he is house trained! He loves his crate too. He does cry when his foster leaves, but he quickly gets over it. He enjoys the company of other dogs and is fine with cats. He has not lived with children before and he can be unsure in new situations so kids should be 5 years and older. Stephen is a high maintenance type of guy and will need regular grooming for his coat. He came in matted not knowing what a kind life was, so we are really searching for someone with Poodle knowledge!
