Sometimes it's difficult to convince people to give their dogs heartworm prevention, but a picture is worth a thousand words. Just remember that ONE mosquito can transmit this disgusting and FATAL disease. Below is a picture of 171 heartworms that were removed surgically from a 46 pound dog. This could have been prevented!

Please make sure to give heartworm prevention year round in Oklahoma. Talk to your Veterinarian about what brand is safest for your pup. They have monthly chewables, or Proheart injections 💉 that last 6 or 12 months.
