Our shelter has 12 kennels currently housing 26 dogs most of which are puppies 😞 We have 16 cats most of which are kittens. Rescues are full; Welcome to kitten and puppy season. We are doing all we know how to do. If anyone out there has a spot in their house🏡, a place in their yard⛺️ or hole in your heart 💕 we ask you to come down and adopt!

“My name is Rocky, I am about 4-5 weeks old and living with my foster mom. Boy, was I scared last night but today I'm chilling out and adjusting to my foster mom, and enjoying being inside the house! Today we had the honor of competing against other local Cities with some talented
Juveniles. With their help and our own Lexie Beaird we won first place for our Ruffin’ It RV.

A special thanks to Venus ISD Police Department for donating the Bluey dog house to us, and Thank you to Cleburne Police Department & for donating the Texas dog house! But most importantly a very special THANK YOU TO County Juvenile Services & The Mended Network for putting this all together again this year! We had an awesome time even in this heat! We are so glad to have been a part of this amazing community event, where all of us through out Johnson County could get together and be involved for a great purpose in helping these young lives.
Plus we got a free dog house or two 😜 Hope to see y’all all again next year!

🚨 URGENT: this may be long but is very important! Please read!🚨

Our shelter is currently at double capacity and we are in desperate need of adopters, fosters, and new owners for our puppies, dogs, kittens, and cats! 🐶🐱

We were almost empty from our last post, thank you all so much! Now? In 2 days we've gotten to double capacity with it being puppy and kitten season😔 most are still on stray hold and could REALLY use either a foster or for their family to come get them.

If you've been thinking about adding a furry friend to your family, now is the perfect time to visit our shelter and meet our lovable animals in need of a forever home. By adopting or fostering, you can help save a life and make a difference for these animals in need. Without your help some may never get a chance to know what a real family is. With us being double our capacity in just 2 days decisions will have to be made as soon as they are available unless they have a place to stay to give up space.

If you can't foster but still want to help we are in some desperate need of supplies too! Bleach, simple green, dog and puppy food (any brand), cat and kitten dry food (any brand), trash bags, laundry detergent or pods are all things we could really use right now.

Everyone knows the saying "it takes a village" when it comes to kids but when it comes to homeless fur babies we prefer "it takes a tribe"! If you think there's nothing you can do to help or that "it won't be enough" you are wrong! Every little thing helps! Fostering, adopting, sharing, commenting, liking, tagging any and all rescues you can think of, donations, coming down to visit! All of it helps and we desperately need your help!

‼️Animal Control is never just about cats, dogs…today our officers went out on a rare call to catch an EXOTIC ANIMAL! 😯 🤯

We consistently post our found dogs and cats. Since this is not something like a skunk in a humane trap, we felt we should post this to try and find the caretaker.

Update!!! Y’all did it again!!! Thank you ☺️ we have nearly cleared the shelter!!! ❤️ new update under their pictures! 🐶 Now to find the 🐱 cats a place to go!

🚨🚨 SOS 🚨🚨 13 pups.. 12 kennels😔 it's getting bad again folks. Some of these are babies are available for adoption and some are microchipped fur kids that we can't find the owners BUT each and every one of them just want to go home! They just want their own person to love and cuddle with especially during these big scary storms! If you know who the owners are of any of these please let them know their baby is at 602 s Parkway. If you see your new best friend on here come adopt them! Decisions will have to be made by the end of day tomorrow and some of these beautiful faces may not make it out due to us being so full and we don't think that's a good enough reason for any of them when their forever family is out there somewhere. The intake flow never stops and we have to have space for other fur babies that need a place too. Tribe y'all have done it before and we know y'all can do it again so we're asking yet again, let's get these sweet pups home! Whether that's to who they are already missing or a new one who will love them forever! You guys have gotten 15 dogs out of our shelter in one day before if y'all can do that again we'll have an empty shelter (aka: a miracle)! Update: A foster just got them home to their nursing momma cat and she accepted them straight away! They are getting a good bath from her and are already nursing on her! Thank you all so much!!

🚨SOS!!🚨🚨🚨 Tonight at 8pm one of our officers received a call about 2 new born kittens being found. They were still wet from birth with umbilical cords attached! The officer who received the call is only able to foster for one night. We are in DESPERATE need of an emergency bottle baby foster or a rescue for them! If you are willing to care for them or know of a rescue able to take them please contact us! At the moment our priority is to get them warmed up and get them fed. We aren't 100% sure what happened, if they were swept away from mom during the storm today or what but no momma kitty was found or seen in the area! We are available to contact through messenger tonight or you can call us tomorrow morning at 8am at 817-790-0910 opt 3

UPDATE: BOTH these got adopted ! Everyone help us wish Joker and O.C. a happily ever after!!! Hey everyone, have you heard of black dog syndrome? No? Well let us explain! Black dogs are often the last to be adopted from shelters, and this is a phenomenon that is not exclusive to just black dogs. It also affects animals with dark fur, such as cats and other animals. It's important to remember that a pet's fur color should not determine their worth or chances of finding a loving home. Every animal deserves a chance at a happy and fulfilling life, regardless of the color of their fur. So, next time you're considering adding a furry friend to your family, please consider giving a black or dark-furred animal a chance. They are just as deserving of love and companionship as any other animal. When you add pitty breed on top of that, chances of getting adopted are almost non-existent. O.C. and Joker(because he's so funny to watch play!) are the prime example of that. They are dog friendly, cat friendly, house broken, know sit, and are just all around good lovable boys. Unfortunately though despite O.C. being our longest resident he hasn't had a single person interested in adopting him. Both are constantly looked over due to their color.
