UPDATE: Adopted! 🎉

Sawyer was so scared that he had to be carried the whole way from his kennel to the lobby, where we usually do photo shoots.

When we put him down on the floor, his entire body was shaking so badly that he could hardly stand. We gave him lots of love and affection and told him what a good boy he was, and after a few minutes when he finally lifted his head all the way, we weren’t 100% sure what to expect.

He began giving us kisses. ❤️ Licking our hands and cautiously walking over to us for more cuddles.

Moments like that are why we do what we do. And it’s why Sawyer needs a home of his own.

He came to us after being abandoned in a home. His family moved and left him behind. So, now he’s here and terrified. And he deserves better.

He needs love, all the time. He needs people to help him trust again.

He showed signs of wanting to play with the toys we had. He loved treats. And he came in with another dog, so we think he is probably dog-friendly. With a little time and patience, we think he’d be an incredible addition to your household. He just needs someone who won’t walk away from him.

If you can be that person for him, come by and ask to meet five-month-old Sawyer (A159666).

Our rescue partner in New Jersey and her husband own a jewelry store in Red Bank NJ. Closed down right now because of Covid-19. So they are making these special gifts! Mail in your dogs nose print and they make beautiful key chains. What a wonderful idea! Anyone want to watch the sunrise with me tomrorow ??? Mutt Mesh is volunteering at the Galveaton marathon and due to work schedule changes we are in need of 1-2 more volunteers.... 6:30am -2pm ish on the seawall. We are manning a water station. Anyone???
The rescue gets a donation for each volunteer present.....

Our little street doggie Jackie moved to her foster home for a couple of weeks. She's doing great and has friends to play with plus she loves her foster mommy Aly! Baby steps. She's walking on leash also going potty on leash. Loves her toys and lots of fluffy blankets. She has her big crate to hang out in when she wants but prefers her blankets.

For those of you following this beautiful little girl here are some updated pictures of her safe and enjoying life. She's 9 months old, had an old wound on her neck that will be dealt with when she's spayed. She's a sweetheart and loves big fluffy beds and blankets. She's quiet and gentle and will make someone a loving family member soon. She will be traveling to our rescue partner in New Jersey within the next few weeks where she will be cherished family member and never alone on the streets ever again. We've named her Jackie and Jackie is loving life.
