It's just another cold day of lessons to cap off a very cold week here in south, coastal Texas. The Midwesterner in me scoffs at Texans' sensitivity to a mere 28°, but then again....I've lived here almost 13 years, and I am now one of those sensitive Texans, too! 🤦‍♀️
Thank goodness for layered clothing and some really gritty riders! We preserved like those Yankees up north this week! 🤣

Delayed Valentine's Day post:
I have the best clients 🥰. The Nault family surprised me with Valentine's Day flowers! 🥹 And was so clever to put them in a feed scoop as a vase! Adorable!

It's beginning to look a lot like...NOVEMBER!

Fooled ya...you thought I'd say Christmas, didn't you? Well, this is 3rd coast, Texas, ya'll. And the weather gods don't believe in giving us any reprieve from the heat until the last few weeks of the year. 😈
So let's just admire how adorable the ponies look in their blankies 😍. Because who knows what cruel, sauna tricks those weather demons will play on us tomorrow. 🥵

As the holiday season approaches, we are reaching out to ask for your support in our inaugural Christmas Fundraiser at Habitat for Horses. We’re located in Alvin, Texas, and currently care for and rehabilitate over 300 horses! Our team work closely with law enforcement on cases of neglect and abuse, helping horses that have endured severe hardships.

Thanks to generous donations, we’re able to provide medical care, rehabilitation, and, most importantly, a second chance at life. For horses that can’t be adopted, we provide lifelong care on our 434-acre property, where they are safe and loved.

HOW YOU CAN HELP: This Christmas, we need your support! Donations of any size will go directly to the horses’ care—covering their feed, vet bills, and stable maintenance. We’re also seeking items for a silent auction to help make our fundraiser a success. Without these contributions, we won’t be able to hold this event, which is crucial for raising awareness and ongoing support.
