UPDATE on Maverick ✈️

This cutie had laser treatment today to help healing from his dew claw removal. Not even 4 months old and already 29lbs. He will be a big boy. He was just perfect at the vet, getting lots of loving from the staff.

Mama is just 40 lbs and fluffy, friendly and playful. No doubt her babies will be just as cheerful and sweet. They have been in a foster home since 1 week old and given age appropriate vaccines, dewormer and microchipped.

Bernadette was at Brazoria County Sheriff's Office - Animal Control and needed an OUT of Texas. She stole the hearts of her fosters and now living in the Midwest 🤍💟🤍

Alfalfa is having a lazy day around his foster home. Daydreaming ⛅️ He needs a little bit of time to settle into new places and be comfortable with routines, he is a people pleaser -chill and just 55 lbs. Little kids scare him so a home with low traffic would help.

Missy BeBe Baguette is working on her ears. They almost stand UP like her shepherd mix mama. She has a soft silky short dark coat. Almost 4 months old and 25 lbs, she will be a medium sized girl. Crate trained, almost house trained, active/playful - she collects stuffed toys. Always dragging a toy along for the adventure. 🧸

Bindi is starting the weekend with her humans having a movie night 🍿🎥🎬❤️

Bindi is leash trained, crate and house trained. Loves fetch outside and being near the pool but not in it. She spends her day on the couch, playing with toys and alerting her family to Amazon deliveries. Her fosters report she’s ‘EASY’ sweet and eager to be included.

Several of our dogs are Ready for Adoption 🎈

Beckett is 3 years old- shy and friendly, he is crate trained and has a stuffed squirrel for bedtime. During the day, he loves being in playgroup or lounging with his humans.

Doug- saw our vet today. We got good news! After an X-ray💲and bloodwork, culture on his infected foot -he is now neutered and headed home to his foster mom with several antibiotics to kill the lingering infection. He does not require a toe amputation (at this time!) but today was $624.39 / $285.00 has been donated so far.

REALITY CHECK on Doug the Dobie

Clearly he has been injured and neglected. We are taking over his care after he spent a few weeks in a vet clinic under a rescue that has shut down. 🌀 Houston is in pet crisis -stray dogs, abandoned owned dogs, shelters are full and rescues are failing. Rescues don’t run on prayers and good vibes. It’s hard work and donations. We are a 100% volunteer group.

Our vet has reviewed Doug’s records and with the rear paw not healing after antibotics and laser treatments; toe nails may need to be amputated and a culture to determine the extent of the infection. This is an added medical cost- we need donations to cover it and get him scheduled for surgery! GOAL $250.00

UPDATE on Doug the Dobie - he has moved to a foster HOME. He is people friendly and curious but shy about life. Loves stuffed toys animals and touching humans. Nervous about being in a crate or too far away for his foster mom.

Welcome to Houston ….

Doug is the fawn doberman in the crate- the skeleton with an injured mama dog and puppies. We can only imagine how they got to this…
He has been safe in boarding at a vet clinic getting medical care for his infections (mainly oral medication) until his rescue backing ran out. The puppies have adopters or other rescues, along with mama dog.

A friend of ours has reached out and will be fostering him- we have a foster HOME and plan for him. He is young and will be adoptable this summer. Our needs are basic -his wishlist will be posted soon. We pull only into foster homes so our needs stay focused on medical bills and food. Please consider donating to ‘DOUG’
