Blue girl did amazing!! She faked us out all day yesterday! 1st baby came at 5:30 this morning and we finished up just after 8. She had beautiful babies! Gorgeous markings

Today is the day! Our Blue girl is going to be having her puppies today! If I don’t respond about chickens today, this would be the reason! Still message or text and I will get back to you ASAP. We will have 5 beautiful mini Aussies very soon!

Well Pt testing was a success, it was reeeally cold this morning but we made it! 304 birds all tested clear! We will be loading the incubators TODAY! So we will have our 1st round of chicks Valentine’s Day! It’s going to be a great season 🙌

We finally got ALL the birds moved to 1 location! Still LOTS of work to be done, BUT making BIG progress!!

Will start loading the incubators next week! We will have chicks just in time for valentines day! 🥰

Yall!! It’s going to be COLD this weekend! Drain hoses, drip faucets, turn on heat tapes. Going to be a rough weekend with these chickens! I will be adding extra hay to all pens and doing all of these things today 🤦🏻‍♀️

DONT put water in the coops!
Make sure your coops are DRY
Frost bite will be the biggest risk this weekend. Well… and frozen water!

These birds DO NOT need a heat lamp if these are fully feathered. If you absolutely insist on a heat lamp, make sure your bulb is screwed in tight, make sure you’re using a C clamp or something to secure your llamps!

Getting ready for our annual PT testing next Wednesday! Every bird is tested… so it takes a while. At least it will be slightly warmer 😂 here’s a little bit of information about what the testing is for. This testing is required for the NPIP program as well!
