Finally got this horse comfortable enough to trim her rear hooves and shod a full aluminum set. Joint supplements and Via Calm given by owner really worked this time. The last 2 times she was not having it and had to have a shot. Full trim with front aluminum providing shock absorbency. Provides protection to hoof but not as hard on ligaments and joints as iron for this particular horse. Iron was too hard and she had some limping. Aluminum is choice for her and only necessary for the front. She does well and no issues in any way with her performance. Servicing one hour of Amarillo. Using Epoxy filler in order to secure a shoe on a broke off hoof. Dry weather causes hooves to chip off randomly or when removing a shoe. Using filler fills in the area between the break and the shoe and levels the plane for stability and so nothing gets caught in there. Enables a shoe to be placed that otherwise couldn't be. 806-400-0033

I am a Christian farrier for over 27 years. I live in Amarillo, Texas and I drive a 1 hour radius to trim or shod horses, miniature horses, ponies, donkeys, draft and heavy horses. I love what I do and welcome new clients. There is nothing better than seeing a horse who has had trouble walking and setting him up with a good trim and shod with the appropriate shoes and see him lope and gallop once again. I do fill in when the hoof needs building up and specialty shoes as well. I even hate to mention but I will, I do the difficult equine as well. Sorry, I do not do pigs or goats.
