Using Epoxy filler in order to secure a shoe on a broke off hoof. Dry weather causes hooves to chip off randomly or when removing a shoe. Using filler fills in the area between the break and the shoe and levels the plane for stability and so nothing gets caught in there. Enables a shoe to be placed that otherwise couldn't be. 806-400-0033

Abcessed hoof 8 weeks ago. Mixed packing, applied rubber cover, and applied new aluminum shoes. This week removed shoe, rubber cover and packing. Trimmed, noted hoof splitting from extreme dry weather, applied new shoe. Abcess healed with penicillin shots and packing with protective cover and shoe holding in place. Horse is doing well.

Owners got this rescue type horse (yard pet) 4 days ago. Super spooky and hasn't been trimmed or ridden in 3 or 4 years. Maybe 6 or 7 trims her whole 10 year life. With some help from friends coaxing, petting and easy talking we got her trimmed. Call me for your trims or shod needs including some corrective shoeing and aluminum, wedges, front or full sets. Had more growth to this hoof than the others. Some soreness and swelling in the leg noted. Remove shoes, leave barefoot during treatment of ice packs, icy hot rub and some aspirin for discomfort. Owner will treat the symptoms and I will check back next week and see if she is healed enough to replace those shoes. One hoof too sensitive to nail so let's give it a few days and see how she heals. Did this horse Thursday and got report yesterday shes bucking, trotting and playing in her corral (chasing the dogs lol).

Aluminum removal, trim and replacement to the front. Shock absorbing and very comfortable for the sensitive horse. Still provides protection on rocky areas but soft enough to absorb and pad the joints from pounding. Provides a softer ride. Maybe not for you as the rider lol. But makes a softer ride for your horse. I service draft, mule, donkey, minis, ponys and standard breeds. Sorry. No pigs. I travel a 2 hour radius of Amarillo if you have multiple head. Trims, front, full sets, corrective, and aluminum. Scheduled 6 week visits or when you need me. I take emergency calls and I am available at local barrels races and playdays many times to fix you up on site. Those events I will post in advance or in the comments if I will be there.
