Just because Spooky-Season is over with doesn’t mean we’re in the clear from spooky situations…and some of the spookiest things I can think of as a pet owner and care-taker are the various results of an upset doggie-stomach..🤢
Before you buy (more) expensive supplements to fix this issue, check your pantry because the solution is likely hiding somewhere amongst your canned goods! (Just make sure it’s not expired, first…)
🎃🎃🎃🎃PUMPKIN is a natural and safe way to treat mild digestive problems in pups! It can aid with both constipation and diarrhea in dogs because of the high fiber content! It’s also packed with vitamins and minerals that are good for our doggies!🎃🎃🎃🎃
It’s always best to start with small portions when giving your pet pumpkin to help with tummy discomfort, and depending on where you get your info from, there’s a lot of different suggested serving sizes. If you’re nervous or concerned, you can always give your vet a call and ask what their serving size recommendation would be for your dog. A vet tech will likely be able to give you an answer without having to check with the doctor!
Dogs can ingest fresh pumpkin safely, but cats cannot. When it doubt, look it up first!
⭐️Tips for pumpkin product shopping:
🎃Make sure the product is PURE pumpkin. No added sugar or other ingredients…those cans of pumpkin pie filling can sneak their way into the section of “pure pumpkin puree”
🎃If you want to go the dog-supplement route, check the ingredients list. Again, no added sugar or sweeteners should be included.
🎃Look for other fruits/veggies in the ingredients list of these powders and supplements—make sure nothing that your pup is allergic to is included. Sometimes these companies sneak animal proteins into their supplements to add protein, and if your dog has a chicken allergy or some other protein allergy, you will want to steer clear of the product if you’ve found those ingredients on the list.
🍂🍁Happy Fall! And enjoy these sweet pics of a TCE original, Cash Stroud ❤️❤️❤️❤️
