Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society has now gone under. They have spent all the money and are hoarding the rescue transport vans. They have required their most dedicated employee to start their own 501(c)3 to ask for money to save lives. They are making Rebel Animal Rescue rent a van for transport when they sit on multiple transport vehicles. Not only have they asked you to donate to Rebel Animal Rescue but to continue to donate to them too. How does this make any sense when they couldn't manage the money in the first place.

Rebel Animal Rescue is trying raise money to the tune of $20K to buy a transport van. This means my fellow board members are asking for them to buy the current rescue van off of them.

I am sure the board members for APHS want to have one last nice party on the pockets of the donors.

We are pretty much out of money. We beg for $$ for each transport because we have spent all of your donation money on private and lavish "fundraisers" aka parties.

While we are sharing our feelings we would also like to formally call out the person who we, the Board of Directors for the Amarillo Panhandle Humane Society, feel is directly responsible for the high euthanasia numbers at the shelter and the reason why our finances are in the cr@pper. This has been a blessed couple weeks for the Board of Directors for the Amarillo Panhandle Humane Society. A second pain in our poopoo shooter finally kicked the can.

Remember that you should not donate until there is a new board of directors. They continue to squander money and trash relationships. Let the Board of Directors members pay for PACFA License out of their pocket. No reason for you to donate.

We we have officially burned our bridge with the city. Sure the excuse is they are raising our rate but in reality we have been nothing but a nuisance and problem child for decades. We got to stand behind them and let them be our shield for all of our issues. It looks like our total assets have increased but remember this is only due to APHS selling everything of value in an effort to stay alive. Come see us at our new location: 13400 S. Bell St That is correct.....way way out there. Remember do not donate till there is a new board of directors!!!
