Chance is the SPCA dog of the day! This sweet English lab mix is over a year old and has so much love to give! Starting off shy, Chance soon reveals his playful and affectionate side. Meet Bear, the SPCA dog of the day! He's a Shar Pei mix with a one of a kind personality. This beautiful boy loves to play and snuggle, and gets along great with other dogs. at first he was shy but once he opens up his amazing qualities shine. UPDATE!!!! We are so happy to announce that The SPCA has confirmed Hazel has found her furever family!
We got to spend the day with Hazel, an amazing rescue dog! Abandoned and left to struggle, Hazel was thankfully rescued by SPCA! Yet her heart remains full of unconditional love! Meet Blitzen!
Blitzen is a Chihuahua mix who is approximately 2 ½ years old. Blitzen came to Le Chateau for his very own day of pampering and play! Blitzen was a very good boy during his car ride and really enjoyed being held all the way to our resort. Blitzen had the best time playing with the other dogs in his playgroup and made friends with everyone he met! After his play group Blitzen was treated to a bath, mani/pedi, and a facial! Hello there! My name is Khloe and I am an 8-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier. I haven’t had a permanent home before, and due to a recent accident, I lost my back left leg. However, that hasn’t slowed me down at all! I was incredibly excited to spend the day getting pampered. I hopped in and out of the car effortlessly and LOVED riding with the window down. At Le Chateau, everyone greeted me at the door and admired how beautiful I am. During evaluations with other dogs, I did really well, though I do prefer smaller friends over bigger ones. We played outside multiple times, and I made lots of new friends! Then came bath time—I sat calmly and let the lady scrub me with all the bubbles. When it was nail trim time, I was so relaxed I rested my head on the lady’s shoulder while she finished me up. The staff thinks I’ll thrive best in a home without small children and might need some time to learn household manners. I’m incredibly sweet and have so much love to give. Please think about adopting me! You can find me at the Amarillo SPCA Tuesday-Saturday 12pm-5pm! 🌼

Hello! My name is Roscoe and I am a 7 year old Brussels griffin terrier mix. I’m a super sweet boy with the cutest underbite that will melt your heart. I spent the day at Le Chateau pet resort where I was pampered and awed over all day! The nice humans there took me out to play with a few dogs my size and I did very well! I also didn’t seem to mind the bigger dogs either. I really enjoyed just keeping to myself and exploring the yard. Then I got my bath before heading back. I was such a good boy for my groom. I never tried to bite, growl, or do anything mean! Another reason I’m such a good boy. I can’t believe I’m still searching for my furever home. Could it be you? Meet Poco
Poco is a 11 year old German Shepherd. He has been at the Amarillo SPCA for a year and some change after his owner passed away. He came to Le Chateau Pet Resort for a day of pampering and play. Poco met us with head butts and kisses. He did such a great job on the ride to the resort and laid down for most of it. Once we arrived, he was a little hesitant of all the new people but came around with the help of some cheese and hot dogs. He was a little nervous during his spa treatment, and enjoyed his bath more laying down. He did great with other dogs and loved going to groups. He's not super into playing, and would rather walk around and sunbathe. If you're interested in adopting an older pup, go check him out at the Amarillo SPCA!

Meet Coop!
Coop is a 2 year old Boxer/Lab mix. He has been at the Amarillo SPCA for 3 years and is still looking for his furever home. He came to Le Chateau for a day of pampering and play. He did great on the way to the resort and loved the car ride. He was even better for his bath. He did pretty good with other dogs, but was definitely a ladies man. Meet Capone!
Capone is a 6-7 year old Shepherd mix. He has been at the Amarillo SPCA for most of his life, and came to Le Chateau Pet Resort for a day of pampering and play. Capone is a sweet boy, who enjoyed a short car ride from the SPCA to the Resort where he made friends with the staff immediately upon arrival. He soaked up cuddles and belly rubs before getting a warm bath and a pedicure in our spa. While Capone really enjoyed spending time with our staff, he was not a fan of playtime with the other pups in our playgroups. This big boy would rather be in a loving home as the only fur baby! Capone absolutely loved playing with stuffed toys and dipping his toes in the pool. It is our opinion that Capone would do well in a home with older children, we are unsure about cats, and would do well in a home with an older family.
