Emma was abandoned in a crate in front of our shelter, along with her siblings. We are guessing a date of birth about mid February, 2024. So Emma is just about 1 year of age. She is a Labrador mix. Emma is friendly and good with other dogs. Her coat coloring is black with white on side of nose. Also has speckled paws. She is very ready for a home of her own. Amarillo SPCA, 11901 S. Wellington was abandoned in a crate in front of our shelter, along with his siblings. We are guessing a date of birth about mid February, 2024. So Wellington is just about 1 year of age. He is a Labrador mix. He is friendly and good with other dogs. Coloring is lots of black with white on right side of muzzle. Also white chest & white leg socks with speckles. Royal is about 3 or 4 months old (est DOB: Sept/Oct. 2024). He is Boxer/Pitt Bull Terrier mix. His coloring is white, brown & black. Good with children and adults. He loves everybody. Royal used puppy pads in previous home, so will need house training. Royal is very sweet around medium and large dogs. We were told Royal is very smart, and learns commands quickly. Skye is a German Shepherd, who will be 4 years old in May (DOB: 5/20/2021). Skye was surrendered to the shelter. She is white with some tan spots. Skye weighs about 50-60 pounds. Miss Bella is 7.5 years old (DOB: 7/4/17), and is a Rottweiler. She was an owner surrender, due to moving and no room for her. If interested, just know that Rottweilers need considerable exercise; long walks and romps daily. The breed needs an experienced and authoritive owner. Rottweilers are very protective dogs. Miss Bella is a beautiful girl and appears to be people friendly. However, it does take Miss Bella a little time to warm up to people, so may need to meet her, and even have a few visits before she can go home with someone. She was always with her previous owner, and not too sure now about others. Miss Bella is crate trained and is Not good with other dogs. Do come meet her at Amarillo SPCA, 11901 S. Coulter. Meet Harlan! We believe she is Black Mouth Cur with possibly some Heeler in the mix. She is about 3 years of age (est.DOB:January 2022). Harlan is a sweet, friendly girl. She is crate trained, and active and playful. She seems okay with other dogs. She likes toys, reaaly loves to play and to have treats! Some bad habits to watch for: may like to dig and even run off, if left without supervision. Harlan is an escape artist for sure! Amarillo SPCA, 11901 S. Athena is a black & tan German Shepherd. She was a rescue. Athena is 3 years old and is a talkative and sometimes loud girl. She is playful, tends to herd other dogs, but not really dog friendly. Athena does seem to bond with certain people. She may have had some training before coming to our shelter. She is ready to go to a forever home, without other dogs. Amarillo SPCA, 11901 S. Coulter. Check out Brody! He’s our recent shelter pup that had a day-away at Canine Country Club. He enjoyed a day of fun, play, treats and look how much he enjoyed the massage during the bubble bath! UPDATE: ADOPTED TODAY.
Blaze is a female tabby kitty about 4 months of age. She has a short haired soft coat in gray with black striping with white on her face, neck and feet. This smart, ticked tabby has a raspy voice due a voice box flaw but there’s nothing wrong with her health, energy, or cuddling! She is a happy girl who plays best with things she can bat or carry around. She likes people and most other cats. Blaze is fine with dry kitten food but likes any wet food she’s given except beef flavor. She loves Temptations fish-flavored treats. Blaze had a rough start in life. A trucker who only used his garage for storage, was very surprised and distressed to find a litter of kittens, with two survivors, when he was cleaning out the garage to move. He brought Blaze and Ember to the shelter immediately and they were so small they went straight to fostering. Ember didn’t make it. Blaze is the sole survivor and ready for a new home! Priscilla is a female tabby kitty about 1 year of age. Most of her soft, short haired coat is brown with black striping with white on her mouth, neck, tummy and legs (like socks!). Priscilla is a very affectionate kitty that likes attention and playtime. In her home, she didn’t seem to care for other cats, but we will see how she does with our shelter kitties.
