Dear Supporters and Friends of the Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society,

APHS has been navigating financial challenges recently, leading us to undergo a restructuring phase to ensure the sustainability of our mission. We are happy to share some exciting news with you about our commitment to animal welfare in our community.

During this critical time, we have been fortunate to form a vital partnership with Rebel Animal Rescue. Beginning on July 10, 2024, Rebel Rescue has taken on the responsibility of managing and continuing the crucial work of our transport operations, overseeing staff payroll, and restoring essential services. Its dedication and expertise have been invaluable in seamlessly maintaining the goal of transporting animals unwanted in our area to forever homes. APHS will not continue these transport operations, but we are extremely confident Rebel Rescue will excel in this mission, a mission that makes such a difference to our animals and our communities.

We are pleased to announce this collaboration between APHS and Rebel Rescue, which reinforces our shared commitment to animal welfare. This partnership not only highlights APHS's resilience but also acknowledges Rebel Rescue's exceptional contributions to our community.

We invite all our supporters to join us in celebrating this partnership by following Rebel Rescue and supporting their efforts in our former transport program by volunteering and making financial donations. Together, we can amplify our impact and continue to improve the lives of animals in need.

We ask also that you to continue to support APHS financially as it adapts to current conditions. Your ongoing support and engagement are crucial as we navigate this period of transformation. We look forward to announcing soon the new direction APHS will take

🎉 Exciting news! Our pet pantry has been restocked with a variety of supplies, including hay, horse supplies, rabbit food, and parrot food. We also have plenty of dog food available in the wagon, but no cat food at the moment. 🐴🐇🦜🐶

🚨 Please note that the wagon is not always out. If you're coming from a distance, we recommend scheduling an appointment on our website.

We are taking in several dogs and puppies today and are running critically low on supplies. Here's our current inventory:

Kitten Formula: Several cans

We urgently need your help! We haven't raised any funds to cover the costs to save the cats on Father's Day.

The remaining 13 cats, now healthy and ready to go, need your support for their rescue. Without the necessary funding, we cannot send these precious babies to their new homes.

Meet Antila, the sweet mom of 5 who also adopted an orphan, Mary Kate. Both are recovering in foster care. Her 5 kittens, two "spicy" babies, and the Gilligan's Island kittens have all overcome their illnesses and are ready for their next chapter.

These 13 cats narrowly escaped death, and now they need YOU to help them start their new lives! We need $600 to cover their vet visits, medical care, upcoming exams, and transport costs. We need these funds by 6/27.

🚨 SOS 🚨

We are drowning in kittens at this very moment!
All these babies were just broken out of the pound today and were scheduled to leave this Sunday but unfortunately they all failed their health certificate so we are in desperate need for fosters! Really wanting to get precious Mary Kate a foster as she’s very weak and had upper respiratory infection that is treatable with medications which she will come with. We really like to get her and her surro mom in a foster together asap the shop is not a place for a sick kitten.

The face you make when you get to leave the dog pound! Dogs just know when they are safe and they definitely show it. This senior gal is one of two elderly dogs we got out of the pound yesterday. No dog should end up at the pound but even more so those that have lived for so many years to end up at the pound during the golden years is just wrong on so many levels. For this girl she’s getting a second chance, nothing but comfy beds, cuddles and tasty food in her future from here on out.

We have so many who are still needing fosters if you ever thought about fostering now would be a great time to start we provide all the supplies you need, to give a safe place for a couple weeks sometimes even just a night helps. If interested click the link below!
