Tell me a trick or position you'd like to know how to teach. I'll post steps on the most popular one! Think about Halloween costume pics or Christmas cards if you need to.

Example: "Sit Pretty" could really show off the front of a costume on your dog. "Bow" could potentially really show off wings on the shoulders. "Sit/stay" is good for general pictures. "Down/stay is good for family pictures.

Kheli did a wonderful job of training my wife and myself in handling our two miniature poodles. They are about 1 1/2 and 2 years old and in two visits Kheli made a lot of inroads into the behavior that we needed to alter. Truly amazing to watch. Her calm demeanor got some serious results with our puppies. Thanks for the education.

Good morning, pet lovers! Today's high is only going to be 83° so get out and enjoy this weather with your pup! They will be way better behaved indoors if you get them out for some exercise and stimulation! If you need help working on leash walking, please let me know! My prices will be going up a tad beginning of 2025, so get in while it's cheaper!

Its FINALLY getting cooler! Lets get out today and let our dogs get some really great time outside! How many of you take your dog to open parks on a long, cotton leash?
A 20 foot cotton webbing leash can be a very useful tool to take your dog out and practice seemingly "off leash" behaviors safely.
You can put knots in the leash at about every foot to help you manage it while in your hand or on the ground.
Practice while holding the leash some basic behaviors in a new environment.
Dogs don't generalize well, so be patient and energetic when asking your dogs to do basic behaviors in a new environment. They don't know them as well as you think.
Bring special toys and treats they never get at home so you can compete with the distractions of the new environment.
Start asking for easy behaviors and with your dog close to you and give them more freedom or distance, once they are responding when close to you.
Basic behaviors to practice are:
-name response: reward them for looking when you say their name
-sit: make sure you reward during the behavior and release with a release word or a cue to do something next
-come: call your dog to you, make sure you touch their collar and reward while holding onto them, then let go with your release word...still always holding the end of the leash
-This way, let's go, slow down...this are on and off leash cues

Always maintain control of your dog and never approach other dogs at the park with out asking first. Not all dogs out and about are socialites!

Are your dogs chewing things up ir digging in the yard? These are boredom behaviors your dog will do when they are not getting the stimulation they require With the heat outside, it can be extra challenging to get your dogs the exercise and mental stimulation they need! Here are some ideas to help! - try feeding your dog out of the treat dispensing ball (dry fog food at their normal feeding time) - one day a week, set aside 30 minutes to make some bones to fill in freeze in order to give your dog a"job" to do instead of them becoming self-employed. Fill the bones with canned pumpkin, jarred baby food, natural peanut butter, etc and throw some kibble or treats in there then freeze it to make it last longer - to exercise your dog anytime of day, consider going to a covered parking garage or an indoor dog friendly store and walk around and work on training inside so you can do it anytime of day Pm me with specific questions. I'd love to help! If you have a treadmill you can set up a training session and we can try to teach your dog to run on the treadmill for extra exercises as well!
