🚐💨 Transport Thursday!

Our van stays busy—and so do we. Every week, we’re loading up scared, unwanted animals and sending them toward second chances.

Fuel isn’t free (unfortunately), and this week’s run is going to cost us over $200 in gas alone. If you’ve got a few bucks to spare, it gets us one mile closer to a forever home 🖤

Huge thanks to those of you who have already chipped in—because of you, we’ve raised $180.71 toward our $385 goal to renew our PACFA license, which is what allows us to legally transport animals into Colorado 🐾💨

Without it, those life-saving transports can’t happen. And trust us, the dogs and cats waiting on that freedom ride don’t have time to wait.

Okay y’all—this week’s Wishlist is short, sweet, and kinda desperate 😅

We are running low on a few must-haves:

🧼 Odaban – Because dogs gonna dog, and we’d rather not smell it.
💧 Large water pails – Our crew drinks like they’re training for a hydration competition.
🦠 Probiotics – Bellies are sensitive around here, especially with all the stress and changes these pups go through.

If you can help us knock any of these off the list, we’ll love you forever (and so will our noses). 🐶

Hi, I’m Midnight. You don’t know this yet, but I’m your new best friend.

I live at Rebel Animal Rescue, and I’m here to let you in on a secret:
We need you.
Yes, you — the human reading this with thumbs and a car and maybe snacks.

Here’s how you can help:
• Come rub my belly (and maybe play with my friends too, I guess).
• Take me out for a “Bark Break” — a few hours away from the rescue to stretch my legs, sniff weird things, and maybe grab a pup cup.
• Give us a ride when we need to get somewhere — like vet visits, events, or catching our ride to a forever home!

We’ve got a job for everyone. You bring the heart — we’ll bring the fur.

Animal Management & Welfare is partnering with BISSELL Pet Foundation and Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine to bring our community a FREE Vaccine Clinic for dogs!

11 AM - 1 PM ⏰
Saturday, April 26, 2025 🗓️
The Pavilion at the Santa Fe Depot 📍

This event operates on a first-come, first-served basis. It is exclusively for dogs, who must remain leashed at all times (even when being carried). Onsite parking is available, as well as at the Amarillo Civic Center. Owners seeking a booster shot for their pets are encouraged to bring their shot records, although it is not mandatory for participation.

Today wasn't Apollo's adoption day, unfortunately. However, he had a TON of fun meeting new people and all sorts of new doggy friends!

This boy was SO well behaved, and turns out he even has a few tricks up his sleeve ("sit" and "paw")! We just know his perfect person is out there. His adoption fee is $150. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and will be microchipped to get ready for his new home! We also have a foster-to-adopt option so you can get to know him before you commit!

🐾 Apollo is Still Looking for His Forever Home! 🐾

This handsome guy has been patiently waiting for his perfect person, and we just know they’re out there! Apollo is a true gentleman—laid-back, loyal, and always ready to lend a paw (especially if you’re handing out treats or belly rubs). He enjoys lounging in a cozy spot, following his favorite humans around the house, and he’ll even alert you when someone’s at the door—he takes his job as official greeter seriously!

Apollo is a 3-year-old basset mix who’s neutered, fully vaccinated, and potty trained. He gets along well with other dogs but prefers to skip the chaos of high-energy puppies. He hasn’t met any cats yet, so we’re not sure how he feels about them.
