TGIF!!!
Our poor little guy can't get a break. Entered hospital with respiratory and now has parvo. 😥
But, for all that he's been through, he's a trooper. His tail is still wagging, and just wants to be loved.💓 So do I have any reservations about taking him? Absolutely not! However, the parvo has definitely "upped" his bill. Any donation is VERY appreciated❣️
We want to get PJ healthy and tagged and in a loving home by Christmas! 🎄

This little girl has been through so much. She and her sister were surrendered to the shelter. To be in home and then---at a shelter. The sister has since been adopted. So she's alone and frightened. She needs love, patience and lots of confidence.
We, as humans, want love and acceptance. Yet, we let down our 4-legged companions. Just 💔💔💔.
The Animal Control Advisory Board that was scheduled for May is TONIGHT @ 5:00 pm at City Hall! The citizens of Amarillo need to be heard.

He is eating, drinking and wagging his tail, but still not 100%. It's just going to take some time. Just grateful we were able to save him! 💙

It's FriYay!!!
I am a firm believer that God puts us in certain situations for a reason, and that's definitely been seen many times over the years in rescue❣️
Yesterday I was picking up Simon and Sophie from the vet (Sterilized for their upcoming transports.) A woman walked in with a small dog in a panic because he was having trouble breathing. It was her grandmother's dog, and her grandmother had just passed away this week from cancer. I later found out after talking to her that that was her last promise to her grandmother that he would be cared for.
We paid for the initial visit because it was close to 5:00 and she had no means of payment. The assessment was an allergic reaction. Do not know to what, but gave him a steroid shot and placed him in the oxygen chamber. After waiting to see what she was going to do, I approached her and told her we would take him, vet him and find his forever home!!! They are keeping him overnight. We are praying all will be well. He has received medical attention and circumstances could have been very different if he hadn't. This granddaughter has made some bad choices, but just maybe this act of kindness will give her the encouragement to make better choices and get her life back on track, and keep her promise to her grandmother. Because of our supporters, we were able to step up.

It's taken some time, but this goofy boy is becoming more sociable and enjoying life! He came from Tulia in July after being abandoned. We will be submitting him soon and getting him vetted and ready to go!!! Sometimes it just takes longer!!!

It's Hump Day!! 🐪
Rescue is getting harder and more difficult. So many animals losing their lives. Rescues are struggling trying to save as many they can; dealing with impossible, irresponsible and rude people; trying to keep the bills paid and "staying in the black".
We have good days and bad ones too. People forget this is an unpaid position for the majority of us.
A random act of kindness goes a long way❣️

This sweet little boy is just waiting for his forever family❣️ We were able to rescue him, and he's already been tagged. It is very sad when we rescue these little ones, and they lack confidence and have not had the nurturing love of a family. Because of our supporters, this allows us to take them in and give them a chance for a better future!!!💚💛💚

Meet this handsome boy!! He literally only had hours to live. People do not understand the stress that some of these guys go through entering a shelter. We were fortunate to get him out, and he will be leaving next month! 🧡🧡🧡

TGIF! What a week!
Our 14 pups in Hereford are doing well. Lady had her pups today!! Pic and update on her tomorrow!!

So, I messed up! This is Archie. (The other pic was Rosie.🤦)
He's recovering and is one happy boy! Follows me everywhere! He's going to be a great family pet for some lucky family.
Alice was tagged to leave this summer. She had ringworm. That's GONE!!! We will get her vetted and out of here next month!
Sweet Linus and Lucy are still waiting. I'm biased, but they are cuties and do not understand why they are still here! Will keep 🙏🙏🙏 their day is coming!

It's Hump Day! 🐪
We received an email over the weekend about this girl running loose in south Amarillo. We are very, very small and was hoping that a larger rescue would help her since she's pregnant. The city spent a matter of a few minutes and then drove off. NO ONE OFFERED OR HELPED. She was finally caught yesterday and with the cooler, damp weather coming, something had to be done.
When we met, her tail was wagging and she even walked on a leash to the van. You can just look at her and know she's grateful.💗 Last night, she was warm with a comfy blanket; food and water; and a roof over her head. Much more than she has had in days.
We are diligently working to get her tagged, but those puppies are coming before that. We are praying for her and her puppies. 🙏 We have awesome followers and supporters and couldn't continue to do this without you❣️❣️❣️
Anyone wanting to donate a bag of Puppy Chow or Diamond Naturals puppy food for the 14 Hereford puppies, please just let us know!! 😁

I saw a story yesterday of the Florida retirement community hit by the tornado before Milton. The grandparents passed away, but they found the Shih Tzu and the large breed dog alive. Their grandson came immediately and rescued the dogs❣️

DESPICABLE comes to mind when I look at this picture. 2 litters of pups dumped on one family in Deaf Smith County. We do our best to remain positive and upbeat, but the low lifes in this world are making it harder and harder! 14 all together 😡
It's difficult enough to place 3 or 4. But, we are going to do our best to save them. Please 🙏 🙏 🙏 that these babies stay healthy and that we can get them out of here!!!! They deserve better! It will cost over $1000 to vet these pups and that doesn’t include puppy food.

A couple of weeks ago, this boy had a guardian angel watching over him. He was being attacked on the street by a Rottie, and he had a person stop and help him. We now have him and getting him neutered soon, and he will then be ready to find a forever family❣️ This handsome guy is getting a second chance. 💙

We are asking for prayers and a little help with our precious boy, Archie. He is having to have surgery quickly for paraphimosis. We are fortunate that since he is being sedated, that they could go ahead and neuter him as well. For anyone not knowing what it is, please "google" it. Do not want to go into a lot of details, but it's serious enough that he required immediate attention. I have since learned that his emaciation has contributed to it. I did not get a quote for the cost because it has to be done asap. Our goal is $250.00. As stated earlier, he has already been tagged, and we want to be able to transport him as soon as possible so that his new life can begin. Thank you for helping and thinking of him❣️ He was pretty nervous when I left him last night. These poor dogs have been through so much these past few months. ☹️
