Harvest bird update

I shot a blue quail of the south feeder. The bird was nearly in perfect health, the feather was shiny like a show bird and zero evidence of feather mites. I didn’t have a scale but male quail was extremely large. The feather quality and zero feather mites might be an indicator that the quail guard has had a positive effect.

Bobwhites on the front feeder which has straight milo. This feeder also has a high concentration of smaller birds and lots of doves visiting.

Another visit to the feeder, hard to tell if it’s a different covey or the same covey

Quail has steadily increased their visits to the feeders and the length of time spent at the feeders. I wonder two things
1. depletion of natural feed this time of year
2. need for more energy/fat seed consumption
3. Easy access and seed quality

Thoughts?
