A little PSA as I keep seeing these recommended on social media by influencers and in groups.

Do you have a furminator?

Throw it in the bin.🗑 🚮

"But I get so much hair out with it"

A furminator is a blade. I've attached a photo of a super short grooming blade next to the furminator blade to compare. The only reason you think it works so well and you get so much hair out is because it's actually cutting your dogs coat. It cuts the good hair, the top coat and leaves long lasting damage, you may not notice at first or ever but its definitely doing the damage and your pups coat will begin to get shorter and shorter, becoming more sparse.

I've not once, nor will I ever use a furminator on a clients dog and 100% do not recommend them. They belong in the bin.

Almost every dog I do will instantly run to our cozy Doggy Dry Sauna after checking in!

Today I was letting the sister run around while I was working on her brother. I left the door open and she ran in, then whined for me to turn it on! You can see in this photo the door is WIDE OPEN and she is just sitting there watching me work. She eventually even laid down!

All dogs love snoozing after their baths in the warm gentle Doggy Dry Sauna

What a blessed year we have had! 2021 will go down in the books for a year of growth and resilience.

One of my top ten favorite breeds of dog to groom.... PITBULLS!!! 🐶 ♥️

Never has a Pitbull tried to bite me. They usually hop right into the bathtub and stand calmly for drying. They jump onto my table without me having to lift them and stand perfectly still for nail trimming and grinding.

When a client reluctantly says, “my dog is a Pitbull,” I always respond with, “oh thank goodness!!! I LOVE pitbulls!!!”
